I found some great information on busy days at Disneyland and DCA...

Weekends between January 7th and April 24th.

Disneyland is offereing the 2fer deal and the parks will be busy.

The weekend of April 18, 19 and 20th.

This is the last weekend of the 2fer. The parks, especially DCA will be packed.

During Spring Break

Spring Break times run from Mid-March to the end of April. Couple that with the 2fer and you have a busy park.

Dates to avoid because of major events in the area:
April 3 through 6 - Orange County Boat Show (Not too crowded)
April 18 through 20 - American Showcase National Cheer and Dance Competition (Avoid at all costs!!)
April 18 through 20 - Long Beach Grand Prix (Added crowds)
July 6 through 10 - LA Dance Magic Finals (VERY busy!)

I don't think this is a "must read". Now Hydroguy's tips on the other hand ;)

and maybe that MM super thread! The author of that thread is incredible! :rolleyes1

Yeah, I heard the place will be packed with chainsaw wielding cheerleaders!!! :scared1:

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

This is NOT correct. The 2fer tickets are valid until May 22, 2008.

whats up with all the new members posting about this cheer weekend?

We got the picture in the last three posts about it!

My guess is that it's an attempt to discourage everyone from going to the parks on the cheer weekend, thus purging the parks of all non-cheerleading type people. In the end, their ultimate goal will be achieved: Disneyland domination.

:scared1: :sad1:

Haha that would be pretty scary!

From the dates in the original post it looks like April 18-20 is a weekend to avoid. With the Long Beach Grand Prix, the cheer and dance competition, the last weekend to use 2Fers, and spring break, that will be a crazy three days at Disneyland!

I think I am going to plan for May.

So, how many times can one person re-register with a new screen name anyway???? ;) :rotfl2: Obvious, no? :rolleyes1

Not sure, that would be a good question for the mods of the site. Go ahead and shoot them a PM and they should be able to get back to you with an answer.

It looks like the mods on micechat have already deleted some of his spam. His post count (DisneylandIsFun) has dropped.

It could always be members from the same cheer squad, if not one bored poster with multiple personalities - I mean screen names.

From the looks of things, quite a few times!:rotfl:

Let's see, we've had: Going67, Godisneyforlife, 6mousears6, and now....Soup77.

I'm picturing a gaggle of teenage girls (dare I say it...CHEERLEADERS!), huddled around the computer at one of their houses, and getting a big kick out of "trolling" the internet.:happytv:

Not sure who those other folks are, but I am just trying to help other families avoid the frustration that I experienced last year. Here is another, more seasoned poster on this board, that agrees with me, and I'm sure this speaks for anyone else who has been there during one of those competitions...

Yes there are conventions all year but the cheer conventions really seem to affect attendance more than other conventions do. We were there a couple years ago in April and it was almost as busy as it was last July. I still appreciate the thought behind the post, altho there were quite a few of them. :)

Uh huh, go ahead and stick with that. You might want to get a little more creative with your screen names and posting techniques. :rolleyes1

Report you to mods? Nah, I won't bother them with anything quite this . . . juvenile. I'll just go make dinner and wait for your posts to slip to the second page.
