My husband and I are eating at the HBD for dinner in January. What are some of your favorite dishes?! We will be splitting a cobb salad as an app for sure!

I always get the Cobb Salad as a meal, it's bigger than the appetizer and they mix it at the table, which for some odd reason I find fun. My son has had just about everything on the menu and has never had a complaint.

For some reason my husband and I love their bread and butter with pink salt. :) But that's free and comes with every meal. :)

We were 5 adults dining there last month, we each ordered a different appetizer and entrée and shared. The vote for favorite was 1) the beef carpaccio appetizer and 2) the filet entrée. The only dish we thought was meh was the duck entrée and we were disappointed that the pork chop entrée was changed as that was a favorite the last time--it's still good but not as good as the old version. Other items tried were the salad with the pears, crab purse salad, pho, chicken breast and cioppino. We did not try any desserts.

HBD is one of the few signatures where you can usually plan on skipping dessert. I have never found them particularly appealing.

I usually end up with the seasonal salad or soup to start, then whatever incarnation of salmon entree they have, and enjoy that. My DD usually gets the ap sized Cobb salad - its plenty big enough for her for an entree, but she might have another small appetizer with it. The filet is also usually good.

I have found the service to be a bit hit and miss there and I don't think it's really on par with most of the other signature restaurants (other than the pricing).

I prefer the filet, but my wife swears by the Cioppino for entrees. We both agree on the carpaccio for the appetizer.

Skip the dessert.

I have not been in a few years but I usually look forward to the duck however it is being prepared that year

I'm a regular at lunch for the appetizer Cobb Salad and the seasonal soups.
