read a post on one of these boards that said the coffee at WDW in general is awful, instant tasting swill....since that brought tears to my husband's eyes is it true? how about the mocha, expresso, cappucino type stands...say it ain't so!

Good coffee can be had at WDW, you just have to know where to go. The Kona Cafe (at the Poly) and Bomas (at AKL) both offer excellent pressed pots.

DH can't live without a good coffee. He says Kona Cafe @ the Poly is the best on property----hands down. (But yes, unfortunately, there is a lot of not so good coffee to be had at WDW)

Kona Cafe, definitely!

I did have a latte at the Fountainview Cafe (I think?!)...it was a coffee/bakery shop right next to the big fountain at Epcot.
From what I can remember it was pretty good. But then I was desperate for some kind of half decent coffee and hadn't made my way to the Poly yet on that trip. :)

I've had good coffee around EPCOT - Fountainview Cafe was good, so is the counter between Canada and UK. Also there is a coffee stand on the Boardwalk that is good. Over at the Swan and Dolphin their restaurants (Tubbi's and Gullivers, along with others) also have great coffee.

Isn't it sinful that they have such awlful coffee...Epcot does have some decent Cappacino places...AKL and POLY have good coffee as well but the problem w/ the pressed pots it you can't take it on the go! The coffee used to be okay years ago (drinkable anyway!) Wouldn't Starbucks at WDw being heaven???? I guess I can only dream!

Get your coffee fix at MCO - then hold on for the week...

The pressed pots are good at V & A's - but a real latte just isn't to be found at WDW.

Barney's at Celebrations is oh so good!!!

so i am gathering forget decent coffee except in a few select places...anyone know about Trails' Ends? guessing lousy so I guess we will be making our own for the morning...

The coffee at WDW is awful, except for a few places...and none of them are in the parks. We just stayed at BWV and we noticed that the coffee place on the BW wasn't open in the mornings at all....probably because the place was so empty. And I've had the cappucino and espresso there and while it's better than regular WDW coffee, it's definitely not high test like Starbucks.

My husband and I now bring our own Starbucks French Ground and filters with us. I pick up styrofoam cups and lids during our grocery stop from the airport and then we have coffee in our room and a cup to take with us on the way out the door to the parks.

Great idea...styrofoam and lids. Even better than the refillable mugs because you can throw them away when you're done. I would also agree on the frech roast from Starbucks. We are planning on having a small cooler that way you can have a little milk or cream too. Sounds like a great plan. I'm assuming that the Contemporary does have coffe pots in the room. Someone needs to get Starbucks in the food courts...what a hit that would be.

guess it's decided then ,make your own it is. the disposables and lid is a great idea, I wasn't crazy about dragging my dirty cup around all day so that settles that. also decided since I am already" cooking"... (ok maybe calling making coffee cooking is a strech but hey I'm on vacation) I may as well bring cereal bars too and save a load of money on breakfast!

YourMajesty -- No coffee pots in the rooms at the Contemp although you can probably request one. Not sure about the availability.

Very few WDW rooms have coffee pots -- Coronado and Fort Wilderness cabins are the only resorts we've stayed at that had them.

We have found the coffee in the sitdown restaurants to be okay --not fantastic, but okay. I got my mug refilled at Beaches and Cream a couple years ago, though, and it was the worst coffee I've ever had. After a couple sips, I asked them to wash the mug and put something else in it!

Tubbies (Dolphin) sells Starbucks!

I am so happy to hear that there is a Starbucks at the Dolphin. I"ll have to sneak out of Epcot and grab some! It's a pity that a world class resort such as WDW has so few options for coffee. In fact, it's an outrage! Coffee Lovers Unite!

This is especially for Jann, since she will be staying at Fort Wilderness. We used to stay there all the time, but not in the last 5 years.

When we were there at that time, the coffee at the Trail's End was incredible...the best coffee I have ever had at Disney.

I asked about it and was told it was only available there (at Trail's End) because it took a special machine to rehydrate the coffee which came from Belgium (or the Netherlands, I forget which). Now that doesn't sound wonderful...but believe me, it was...if they are still doing it.
