"Must Do's" on Castaway Cay!

Considering everyone's time at Castaway Cay is limited of course, I thought it would be a good idea to see which excursions are the most popular and which ones me and my family should do in our port time. Here is the excursion list for Castaway Cay -Please feel free to reply with pros and cons of the one's that you have done!

Do the jetski/waverunner rental. AMAZING.
We did it on our double dip last month...my husband said if he woudl have known how great it was, we would have done it both days! (we did it on our second day in the late afternoon).

Two HUGE thumbs up for it!!!! AMAZING

I would vote for the Castaway Rays excursion. My dd6 and I really enjoyed it and it doesnt take up a whole lot of beach time!

I find that my family really likes to do excursions on the other islands and then on Castaway Cay being the last stop/end of the cruise just kick back and relax and settle back and enjoy a little piece of paradise. Now the our daughter is older (17) and always has a Friend with her mom and dad like to hit up the adult beach and have a rib-eye steak play in the water for just one hour while the girls have lunch at cookies.

Where do you get steak on castaway cay? I've only been once, and was disappointed with the food- did I miss something?

I like to get out early and get a hammock ahhh rest then DH and I head over to the place where u get the jetskis and rent a motorized lounger I think its $20 for 1/2hr (maybe) its super relaxing then back to the hamock get lunch with DD then head to the adult beach for a bit in the afternoon.

We've never done any of the excursions, we figure this is the one place we can really relax.

Our kids have enjoyed the kid-club things, but have opted to hang with mom & dad the past couple of times.

Icy drinks in coconut cups.

Second vote for the Hermit Crab racing - go early to sponsor your own crab!

You know... you can stay on your beach chair, and they will bring icy drinks to you!

Dad says: Snorkelling. Not the most abundant fish, but Mickey, Minnie and the sunken boats are unique!

Kids say: ice cream! Beach time with friends.

Did I mention icy drinks?

They are in the snorkel lagoon that you do on your own with the gear.

What is a motorized lounger? Does DCL call it by some other name?

YES PLEASE! And my fruity beverage of choice is a Konk Kooler.

We have done Castaway Ray's and it was fun, but not something we need to do a second time. The water was very chilly when we did it (first week of December) so we didn't actually snorkel with the rays, just did the feeding and watched them a bit.

This year on our list is:
bike rentals
aqua trike or kayak

Other than that, #1 - 7 above for me!

Oh, and at least one trip down Pelican Plunge. LOVE IT!
