What are some things we just MUST do at Epcot? I'm not exactally talking about rides, we'll definitily will be doing those. I mean places to shop, eat, shows/things to see. I was only there once, and we only did 3 rides adn that was it. No Wrold Showcase. If anyone has something they were so happy they did at Epcot, I'd love to hear it!! Thanks

Must do World Showcase!! Just to wander and enjoy is great, but add listening to Off Kilter, sipping wine in France and munching on some pastries in Norway...pure heaven!!

see if you can catch Miyuki, the candy sculptor in Japan - she is AMAZING to watch, and if you are one of the lucky ones, she'll make a candy sculpture for you that you can take home, free!
the food in the World Showcase is amazing - specifically Japan, Canada, and Morrocco (rarely a wait for their table service restaurant!).

Try and go into the Mexico pavillion/building right at dusk. It is amazing. The first time we went in, my Dad swore we were still outside! It was just about the same outside as it was inside. It's that authentic.

Be sure and see Illuminations, too.

I don't know when you are going, but we will be there during the Flower and Garden Show. The gardens are beautiful, I don't have a green thumb but I do get green with envy. :thumbsup2
They have the oldies concerts that we like, one time I got to see my childhood fav, Davy Jones.
This trip I am praying to catch the Universe of Energy before it closes for rehab (I love Ellen).
I like the shopping too. One trip I got the most unique top in Morrocco and wore it until it died.

World Showcase is our favorite place to just walk around and see whatever we want to see. Of course, Off Kilter is a must if they are playing. But all of the entertainment is great. Get an entertainment schedule when you go through the turnstyles and just stroll around and catch whatever you can. Marachi band in Mexico, folk group in Norway, acrobats in China, Fife and Drums in America (along with Voices of Liberty inside the pavilion), drummers in Japan, Mo Rockin' in Morocco, British Invasion in United Kingdom. Plus the World Showcase Players and numerous other acts.

And of course, don't get me started on Illuminations every night.

I love to eat my way around the world. Pastries in France.....and on and on. We visit ever shop in each country, just to see what they have to offer. We love to see the "street shows" in each country - the statues in Italy are great! We love Epcot so much we are spending two days there this trip. :)

I really loved the Behind the Seeds Tour..It was the highlight of my last trip to Epcot.

For us our favorite things to do other than rides at EPCOT are
-Turtle Talk with Crush...what fun! If you have kids in your travel party be sure to stop!
-The Kodak What If Labs (at the exit of Figment's ride) make sure you send yourself a free email picture home. You can morph your face with a flower or animal...it's a lot of fun.
-Innovations (East and West) both of them have some pretty cool exhibits in them. Our family enjoyed spending about an hour and 1/2 in both. We could have stayed longer but only had one day at Epcot. My sister's family however thought they were cool but just did a basic walk through and skipped the "doing stuff" since they were there for the rides...so I guess it's a matter of what your family likes to spend time doing. If you do check these out make sure you stop by the Plastics area and build a cyber robot to race it after the race you get to assemble your very own plastic robot to take home for free...nothing "huge" but they are nice toys for the kids and at Disney something free is alwasy something special!!
-The Buffalo Mozzerela Tomato Basil salad at the Sunshine Grill in the Land...YUMMY!
-The Nestle Cookie Baking area in the Land (near Soarin' and the Sunshine Grill) is great for little ones. They get to "bake" cookies. It's a lot of fun for the Jr. Chefs and makes for some great pictures!
-When making your way around the world...don't forget to explore all of the different countries. Each one has really neat shows and hidden things. Take the time to talk to the workers (they are really from the country they are stationed in) and soak in the small details. We always try to pick one item to "try" or collect from each country. One year it was candy. Another it was pastry/cookies. This past year it was something smaller than the size of our palm (we have a neat little curio shelf full of tidbits from that day now). My boys favorite thing to collect was the mini Mickey and friends dressed up in ethnic garb. They especially love Viking Pluto!

Have fun Epcot is a great place!! **of course it's WDW!!**

Our next plan is to buy a CD or tape or musical something from each country.

For me, everything in EPCOT is a must do. This is my favorite park, period!
We enjoy Spaceship Earth - Yes, it is dated and in need of renovation but it is a classic and we love it.
Living Seas, The Land, Soarin is the best attraction I have ever been on, Journey Into Imagination, Universe of Energy - It is so real!, TT, MS - This ride is not for everyone but I am such a Space Buff that I love it. It is as close as I will ever get to actually being an Astronaut.

I could keep on going on but it would be redundant. Why list everything in EPCOT when it has already been done in the brochures and videos? I will say this that I haven't seen anyone else mention yet. I love the Voices of Liberty at the American Adventure. I make it a point to see them every time I am there.

do you have kids?? The younger children like the KIDCOT stations. we loved the little comedy show in the streets in ENGLAND. Last year when we went, I really enjoyed EPCOT. You need to take time and "smell" the "roses" if ya know what i mean.

Our Epcot "Must Do's" include:

Soarin'
Spaceship Earth
Illuminations
Le Cellier
Funnel Cakes (at the American Pavillion)
Impressions de France --the music is WONDERFUL!

Of course we do much more, but these are things we always do!

IMHO Illuminations is the best nighttime show in WDW. It's breathtaking and moving. :)

Have to see Off Kilter in Canada, Jamie is such a cutie ! :goodvibes Can't beat good looking men in kilts! :woohoo:
