What are some things that i must see or do being a first timer going to Disneyland. Obviously besides the obvious Rides and shows..... Certain places to visit or things to look for?? I must also say i am a WDW Vet! Thanks!

well lets see i would have to say there are tons of must dos/sees one thing that I always have to do when there is go to pooh corner and get a tiggertail I have been told they don't have them at WDW though I have never been myself and they are delicous also the wife and I love to reserve a time for lunch at the blue bayou restaurant it is a wonderful place that over looks the first part of the pirates of the carribean ride and has an outstanding dish called the monte cristo that is big enough to split between two people other than that I would just say take your time and enjoy everything as you know from going to WDW there are little suprises around every corner.

I love the Disneyland railroad! It's a great way to get around the park plus it has the wonderful dinosaur anamatronic display. Take it a few times and you'll have "lions and tigers and TIKI BIRDS!" running in your head all day long. Plus you get to see a bit of Splash Mountain from the inside. Yay!

The Blue Bayou restaurant is worth it for dining within the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. It's really cool! Reservations are strongly recommended and the past two times I went to the park, the restaurant was booked well in advance. You can call the disney dining number (714-781-3463) up to 60 days in advance to make a reservation.

And my favorite Disney exclusive: the Matterhorn! Do this one at night. The view is gorgeous and the ride is much more colorful in the dark. :)

I got to agree about the railroad that is my favorite thing to do when I start to get a little wornout. i also love to ride the steamboat. also over at DCA I love to ride the grizzly river run

another must do for me is the retiring to the colors every evening
