We will be staying at Boardwalk Villa's in June and have never been to the villas or to the boardwalk...any suggestions on some must do/see?

Beaches and Cream at Beach Club
Kouzzina Restaurant - Just because it is closing in September (good food)
Movie on the beach at the Beach Club
Watch Fireworks from Bridge going to Epcot
ESPN Club
Venture over and check out the Dolphin and Swan Hotel - a cool place
Welcome Home Wednesday's at Atlantic Dance Hall
Spend a night on the Boardwalk watching the performers

The performers at night are my kids favorite. They always seem to get included in the tricks and other stuff they are doing at the time.

Does the time of Welcome Home Wednesdays vary based upon the time on time of year? Going during the first two weeks of December!

Thanks!:thumbsup2

Over on the BWI side, there are some lovely gardens and "cottages" overlooking one of the "quiet" pools. Honestly, most people don't know they're there. It's a blissful retreat. I'd love to stay there some day :cool1:

Jellyrolls if you don't have kids with you. "Dueling" piano sing-alongs. There is a cover charge but it can be a great night of entertainment for a reasonable price.

I think it's always at the same time. 2 or 3pm? There's a poster in the BWV elevator. We always think about going, but never make it :)

Jellyrolls was a pleasant surprise! The dueling pianos were great and played songs for every age group. The best part are the Disney songs thrown in. Even as an adult you can't help but sing out loud. My first time to boardwalk was this past April. Now I'm an owner.

the BWI pool is an amazing, quiet retreat - perfect for adults. kids like the main pool, luna park, with its daytime activities & cool keister coaster slide. there is a great community hall by the BWV leisure pool (more noisy than the BWI pool, quieter than luna park...usually:)), with video & board games, ping-pong, crafts, DVD rentals (free for DVC), etc.
there are movies shown nightly by the main pool (dependent on weather).
in addition to jellyrolls, ESPN, ADH, the belle vue lounge is a nice, quiet place to relax, meet people, & chat.
the bakery is....just.....that....good!!!! :thumbsup2
really good funnel cakes & margaritas are available at the kiosks.
play some carny games, watch street performers at night.
watch the illuminations fireworks burst from your balcony, if BW view, or the BW/bridge - you can often see some of wishes also.
walk over to fantasia gardens (behind swolphin) & play mini-golf (50% off with AP:thumbsup2)
eat outside at big river grille (good burgers)
walk to EPCOT and/or DHS....just because it's so pretty and relaxing :)

just sit on the BW and people watch.....:cloud9:

btw, there is a great BWI/BWV thread on the resort board.
enjoy!

Shhhhhh! That's our secret place!

Its really lovely - that pool is almost always quiet. The gardens are mostly rose gardens - its enclosed, and if you need somewhere to get away from the crowds with a book and enjoy good weather - its the best spot in Disney.

Now you've done it, spilled the beans on a great hidden treasure!
