Must Do Restaurants

What did you order at Big River?

We are staying at the BWV and may add this to our list.

We like it all.. It is very "normal" food. Not your normal food at disney. That is one of the reasons why we go there. We really like the Hazelnut crusted chicken, the grilled cashew chicken salad, and the blue ridge pork sandwich. It is also the only brewery on property. So they have a nice selections of beers that is hard to find anywhere else.

I think we will have to at least stop in for a beer!

Our must do's are:

Ohana, why? Because the food is wonderful and all you can eat. We are good eaters and the dessert is the best on property in my opinion. (and I don't like bread pudding...lol)

I feel exactly the same way, (and I don't like bread pudding)!

We didn't care for Boma's. Too different, and I'm NOT a picky eater.
We always do Lecellier even tho I could do without it, my family loves it.
The last couple of trips we've taken a disboard tip and went to 1900 Park Fare on arrival evening and loved it! The atmosphere sets the tone, just enough "disney" to get ya in the mood without buying a park pass. Our only Must have is definitely Ohana!!!

cinderellas castle has to be one of the places you go a bit pricey but the children will love it if you have any children:lmao:.
rain forest cafe was nice but i thought realy cold inside and your food cools down really fast.
i dont think i have eaten anywhere that was bad:banana:

One of the most underrated restaurants we think in the world is Big River Brewing Company. It is such an expierence to be able to sit outside on the boarwalk listening and watching the entertainment, while illuminations is going off. It really is a Disney pleasure.

Can you do ADRs at Big River?

We love the Flying Fish on the Boardwalk. The potato wrapped snapper is their signature dish and it is wonderful - but on the expensive side.

Our 2 must do Breakfasts are Tusker House and Crystal Palace
and our 2 dinners are Garden Grill and Teppan Edo

We love Ohana for dinner. So much GREAT food. We are going to try Ohana for breakfast in May. We've heard good things about that as well. We enjoys Chef Mickeys as well. My girls love the princess breakfast in Norway. Maybe not the food but the princesses trumped everything that morning for them :)
Ohana for breakfast is good as well. Family style like dinner. It is much more laid back and doesn't seem as busy as Chef Mickey's

Our Disney trip are usually between 10-14 days and we have always done the dinning plan and these are our favorites, hope this helps.

Must must do..... Earl of sandwich: we usually go 2-3 times every trip for lunch, the subs here are sooo goood!

Ohana's: (Familly favorite), doing it again in April group of 14. We have 3 vegetarian in our party and Ohana's has always made them something special and the food here is so good.

Akersus: Princess breakfast has become a tradition for our family, I have 2 girls 4 & 7 and the value is better than CRT. you get to meet all princesses and they give you pictures as a souvenir.

Boma: (Best Buffet) one word FLAVORS!!! I have never had a bad experience here and always try something new every time.

Ceillier (Canada): Filet mignon Steak, very good steak and well priced

Chef de France: I always go here for salmon and Rémi

Coral Reef: Good themed restaurant, keep away from steak only average, but the Lasagna is very good.

Tutto's Italian: All is good here, wife's favorite.

Chef Mickey: A great way to start your vacation with kids, Breakfast is great and you get to meet Mickey and Mini

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the French pastry shop at EPCOT. That's one place we HAVE to visit every time.

The castle is so expensive we rarely eat there, tho it's enjoyable. I like to get my sea food fix at the Coral Reef. Last time I ordered a sampler appetizer for two, but ate it as an entree for one. Yak and Yeti is great for lunch. Our extended family had dinner at Ohana -- happy memories.

The only place I haven't enjoyed is Gasparilla's at the Grand Floridian. Nearly broke a tooth on the gristle in my hamburger.

Can you do ADRs at Big River?

Nope, walk-ups only, but never a long wait Even if it were, the award winning microbrews available would make it totally worthit!

As far as a restaurant I'd suggest, it would definitely be Restaurant Marrakesh in Morocco... I feel like it is such a gem that is consistently overlooked! It took me quite a while to get my DH to try it (he thought it would be too exotic for his taste), but finally last year for my birthday he couldn't say no. We ended up loving both the food and atmosphere, and DH walked away with a new perspective!
