Anybody know of any good recording programs for Windows? I'm looking to start jamming and making some music of my own, but I need a program to do it with. I've heard good things about GarageBand, but I dunno if Apple makes a Windows version of that. :-/

theres a program like garage band for windows, not sure what its called. me and my buddy used it record our cd

You could always spend loads of money on Cakewalk software, but trust me, don't do it. That is, unless you have a jacked-up computer with the works. If you have a normal computer that you use for things other than music, Cakewalk will be a waste of your money. Windows just can't handle it.

I don't know of anything other than Cakewalk. If you're looking for less of a headache, try to see if Mac has made Garageband for Windows. That's really the best way to go.

I use Adobe Audition 2.0

But, Cakewalk is cheaper, and it get the job done.
