music on dvcmember.com website irritates me

Does the music that starts playing when you log into dvcmember.com irritate anyone else? I don't know why it has to play every time I log in or return to the main page after having turned it off... I wish there was a way to permanantly turn it off...

Also, why are they using African music to sell Aulani anyways? Sounds like they had some music left over from when they were advertising AKV and figured it was "close enough"!

I agree with you, it blares out at you and I'm moving the mouse quickly to hit the off button on top. I sometimes mute the speakers on the computer before logging in to the site.

on the African music, you are probably right. They didn't want to pay anymore royalties on another song.

Nope. But that could be because I always have the sound muted on my laptop, and just turn it on when I actually want to hear something...

Yes.

I have an office at work, but the music comes on so loud that I know my assistant can hear it outside my office before I can remember where to turn the music off or find the link I want.

No kidding!!! That music irritates the heck out of me, glad to see that I am not alone.

I generally have my speakers muted but sometimes for whatever reason they are not and as I soon as I log in that music hits me and I can't turn the sound off fast enough!

Not sure what is about that song, but I would rather be stuck on It's a Small World....LOL!

OMG yes! It drives me nuts. I can't click on a link fast enough to avoid hearing it half the time. I'm waiting for the alleged website redesign hoping the music disappears.

I don't like it either. I started a post on this topic months ago and most people responded they like it but I wonder if they've since changed their minds, LOL!

It's annoying and does not make we want to buy Aulani, like at all.

Before I log onto the DVC member site, I always check to make sure my "mute" button is on.

Thank you for starting this thread! I have also hated the blaring music and had to try to remember to mute my laptop before going to that site. I just tried it and they have indeed stopped the music.

I thought it was just me who heard the music as my DH installed it to alert him when I am thinking about buying more points!

Yes, very annoying. I usually click on 'my points' or whatever it is that I'm looking at, but it still takes a while for it to process and stop. In the last day or two I haven't noticed the music though, but not sure if I have the sound way down on my PC (most likely from hearing that music)!

When they get rid of the music, they can stop that aggravating pop-down that's always advertising the current property too.
