Music in the halls

I sent my email, even though I haven't cruised yet. (But when I do, I'll want to be hearing Disney tunes!!!) I'll bet they're wondering why all the email on this subject today?

That was something really special about the cruise. I am sailing on HAL next, and not hearing Disney music was the things I expected to miss. Whatever the song, it always put a smile on my face.

I was reading this thread, thinking, "Do I remember Disney music?" But then, I read the words, "You Can Fly" and suddenly, I felt a happy emotion remembering that music playing as I was walking toward the Walt Disney Theatre, past the gift shops.

I just sent my email.

I sent my e-mail last night. Thanks ThreeCircles for the heads up on this. Can't imagine our cruise in Aug without Disney music in the halls. DD and I love recognizing the songs! Anyone think they will heed our outcry?

I just got a reply from DCL.

They said my request for Disney music in the hallways again would be forwarded to the appropiate management teams. And they look forward to cruising with me soon!

I hope that all of our e-mails will get our Disney music back!

Maybe the ship's crew asked for a break from bibidi bopiddy boo for awhile. Playing Disney tunes 24/7 is one of the ways we tortured the terrorist prisoners, wasn't it?

Just JOKING! But I would think that even Dis tunes can get old for anyone. I ate at a Maragritaville a while back, and all they play is Jimmy Buffet. The waiter said that he knows every single song word for word that JB ever sang.

Having said all of the above, I also would rather hear Disney on my cruise!

I also received the exact same letter as posted above. Also from Tracey.

The only thing i can say is keep emailing DCL! After a few hundred emails (within a close time period) and i'm sure DCL will do something.

I did ask a few questions..i asked could they verify if Disney music was played or not..that question was not adressed. Just the "form" letter.

And, worst of all, they wern't playing the music on the outside area of Deck 4 either!

I remember laying out on those wonderful loungers, watching the crystal blue ocean sway by, and listening to Disney tunes played on steel drums. That too was absent on the May 1st cruise.

I do hope they listen to all of our e-mails!

Hi guys,
I don't want to start an argument...but I LOVE Frank Sinatra, Judy, and Dean Martin...I like the Disney tunes too, in fact really enjoyed them on our last cruise...but listening to Frank Sinatra at breakfast during our last Carnival cruise...hard to beat !!! We cruise DCL because of the the tubs in every room...our DS is autistic...the fabulous ship, and the wonderful service...the Disney atmosphere for us is not a big deal...

The people there are so nice and send lots of messages on here. You have to add your name to three circles.com link. Jason is trying to get a DIS board meet the day of sailing.. I feel like i know most of them already for yrs...Check it out..

I was disappointed on our March 20th cruise this year when the Disney music was missing! In the halls and during the sail away party. Come on, Lou Bega singing Mamba No. 5 ala Disney, missing--or how about Liv'n la Vida Mickey, gone. Gee DCL, people cruise Disney because they love Disney. If I want show tunes I will cruise other lines and save money on cruise fares. I was really let down this past cruise. In fact, I made my own sail away party CD by using the CD's I bought and the Apple web site for I tunes. Yes, I used the Disney versions! My sail away party CD is better that our March 20th sail away party was. Even the Mickey pool was missing the Disney music, I couldn't believe what they were playing back there. I felt like DCL was trying to blend in with other lines than be Disney. Kathy
