Music help

Ok ladies (and guys if there are any here) I need your help. I am trying to decide on songs from the ceremony for bridesmaid entrance, groom entrance, seating of the mothers, grandmothers, etc. and I have NO IDEA what to do. Can I hear (or read) what ya'll used or are using. I would like disney songs but will take a mixture. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

This is what I'm doing - I'm not using Disney songs for the ceremony though:

Seating of Grandparents & Parents = Ave Maria
Officiant/Groom/Groomsmen = Trumpet Voluntary, in D Major
Bridesmaids = Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring
Bride = Canon, in D Major

There is a Disney Fairytale Weddings CD that has instrumental versions of a lot of Disney "romance" songs like Beauty and the Beast, Some Day My Prince Will Come (Snow White), A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes (Cinderella), A Whole New World (Aladdin), etc. I'm using these for background music during dinner but a lot of brides use some of these for their ceremony.

Well, I dunno if this is what you're looking for, but we had them play songs from soundtracks (I burned them a CD), some of which were Disney:


Ceremony Opening/Parents of Groom: "Wind & the Lion Main Title" from soundtrack to The Wind & the Lion

Mother of the Bride Tribute (no one walked down the aisle): "I Remember" from soundtrack to The Wind & the Lion

Officiant/Best Man/Man of Honor: "007" from the James Bond movie From Russia With Love

Groom’s Entrance: "Life’s Incredible Again" from the soundtrack to The Incredibles

Bride’s Entrance: "Off to Work" from The Incredibles

Recessional/Petal Toss: "Two Hornpipes (Tortuga)" the bar fight tune from Pirates of the Caribbean II

omg how excellent to have James Bond music!! I love those movies. Hmmmm, this is a really good idea! I'm going to have to make a note. That would be amazing if all the men could walk up to the alter to a snazzy bond tune

All of our songs were performed on the organ...it sounded beautiful!!!

1st Song: 2nd Star to the Right (Peter Pan)
(Seating of my grandparents and the groom's parents)

2nd song: Yo! Ho! Yo! Ho! A Pirate's Life for Me -oh yes!! The one from the ride!! It is my husband's favorite ride since he was a little boy! They all looked soo cute trotting down the aisle to this song!

We had traditional music excpet when people were entering the wedding pavilion and upon exiting. The one little piece of Disney music that I added was right before the doors opened for me to enter, I had the organist play a few lines of bibbidi bobbidi boo... everyone giggled (it was typical me) and then the organist into Canon D.

For the Parents, You'll Be in My Heart from Tarzan

For the Officiant, Best Man and Groom, The Medallion Calls from Pirates of the Caribbean (When Jack is coming on on the sinking ship)

For the RB, A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes from Cinderella

For the MOH and JB, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo from Cinderella (I had such a hard time picking a song for them)

For my entrance, Once Upon a Dream from Sleeping Beauty (DF proposed during the song under fireworks at a P&P party

For the recessional, He's A Pirate from the end of Pirates of the Caribbean.

My choices were limited because I am using a string trio and any music they didnt have I had to find and pay for, so I only bought the music to Pirates of the Caribbean. If I could have found the string sheet music for Enchanted I would have used music from it.

Very close! Still trying to get everything done. But I am glad you liked the choices, I have changed them about 10 times. Luckily I dont have the option of time for the choices of music for the DJ to play, so I just get to stick to what I have decided on already.
