Hi everyone!
It's snowing here and my night class was cancelled!
:worship: :cool1: :yay: :dance3:

So now I'm doing wedding planning and need help.
We're getting married August 18th at the YC Gazebo, then the reception at Ariel's.
I know we're going to have a DJ for the reception, but music/musicians for the ceremony have me going crazy.

Here's what we KNOW we HAVE to have:
Guys entrance- "Some Day My Prince Will Come"
My entrance- "Once Upon A Dream"
Recessional- the "Disney Medley" (Spectro, Small World, Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah, etc.)

But here's the big question- for the Disney Medley, is this only available to be played from cd (I'd assume so)? And if so, can they do that for the Gazebo, and who would be in charge of that?

If I can't have the Disney Medley (knock on wood that's not the case :scared: ), I need to figure out what kind of musician to use. Violin seemed like the most logical choice for us, but I'm not set on that, and it wasn't even on the list of options in the planning questionnaire.

HELP! PLEASE? :faint:

I know that if you wanted an Ipod they charge an $800 AV fee, but not sure about a CD player. Its just as much to do that as use a musician.

Firstly I would definitely suggest an AV for YCG if you're having music because if it's windy and you have the Friendship boats in the background you honestly can't hear a lot.

We had a Pianist who played a medly of Disney songs, of course that was extra $$

You can have a CD played, you'd have to pay for the rental of a CD player and your WC will usually take care of when that music is started and stopped.

We had a violinist at the Gazebo and she played beautifully. Of course, I didn't hear most of it because I was, ah, focused on other things (like not tripping down the aisle, ha ha), but I've been told the sound carried pretty well. When we got married last year, the violinist was included in the cost; not sure how it's set up now.

Our planner also said that we could bring a battery-operated boombox of our own to play the song we wanted to dance to ("You've Got A Friend in Me"), but like Sam mentioned, it's sort of windy over there to be heard on its own.

GL!
