Music/entertainment question...ceremony

I am new to the board. I am getting married Nov. 21, 2006 @ SeaBreeze Point. I am sooo excited! I am also getting anxious and nervous. I haven't even spoken to my Wedding Planner yet (she sent me a welcome email and I have spoken to her asst. twice). I have all these ideas and I don't want to get "set" on them and be disappointed to find out they won't work or aren't allowed (or too expensive), etc...

Anyway...I am hoping someone can help me that has already been married at SBP. I really, really want this certain song played when I walk down the aisle towards my DF...it will be a surprise for him. I have envisioned this since I knew he was "the one". Does anyone know if there is a way to have not-live music there? (played somehow vs. a guitarist/soloist...) Is there a way to have a sound system (of sorts) placed there...(don't really want just a CD player if I can have more than that)?

Does digging to see what others may have done or are planning to do?

Any suggestions? Anyone know the "rules" surrounding this type thing?

We are in a similar situation as you. We are getting married Dec. 11, 2006 at SBP and we will be using recorded music as well. I have heard you can rent a sound system but it may cost a bit. I"m going for my planning session in 3 weeks. I will be asking about it. I can let you know when I get back.

Are you having an intimate wedding or a custom wedding?? I ask this because I was just wondering if you are having a plnning session or not. If you are havign an intimate then you will have to specifically ask for any extras that you want that are not included in the package and of course see how much they are. If you are a custom you should start having most of your details finalized.

i wasnt married at sbp but at the yacht club gazebo in a custom wedding this past march 21st. i had a sound system & cd player for 2 songs at our ceremony including my processional down the aisle. it was perfect & beautiful, you didnt even notice the system, we also had live music a violinist & harpist for other music & ambiance. depending on the song a musician might know it or if you have sheet music could play it for you.

as you get closer to the wedding or have a planning session you will get the concrete answers but the equipment is available for a fee. best of luck with your plans!

Thanks everyone for your input! My planning session is in 2 days (YEA!) and I will definitely ask about that sound system. My WP didn't really give insight to that (hasn't given me insight to alot to be honest) as to if it was available. In her defense...she did say "If I have to bring my own BOOM BOX...we will make it happen". So, I am sure it will all work out (power of positive thinking... ).

How was the weather last year 'Karentan'? Did you guys swim and stuff? We are planning our honeymoon stuff too and I am not sure about that time of year down there.

I'm sure your planner will help immensely at your planning session. From what I've heard from the others--at the planning session, your entire wedding is mapped out with lots of detail that you never thought you'd get done in that short of time!

weather was great, nice and warm, rained really heavily for about half hour during our cake cutting (luckily we were inside). then again, we're from the UK so anything is warm to us compared to our winters!

Firstly the Dis, You ve come to the right place re Disney Wedding planning. Everyone on here is full of great ideas & info, we re all very friendly so enjoy your time on here!

I may be being nosey but out of curiosity what song are you looking to have played?

We re wanting to have a few songs played, one will definatly have to be played using cd player, not too sure for our other choices. My Df wants a specific song played before the wedding ceremony so yet a gain a cd player may have to be used. We re trying to find an instrumental version as the song would nt sound quite right played only on violin.

I ve read that it can prove costly as i think Disney put a special sound system in but i think if you need to play a cd that you can bring your own stereo system (saving money that way).

Congrats! Congrats! I am a SBP Bride as well! You can check my pics out on here if you haven't already. I'm not sure about the music. I don't know how they would do it without a sort of just "cd system." I had the violinst and hired a flutist to perfrom at my wedding. Good luck!
