Ok- so can any of you lovely ladies explain this to me? What are all of my options? I could

A. Have the regular instrumental music from the Boardwalk Convention Center piped in.

B. Pay the 250 plus tax (which comes to about 325) for their ipod hook up.

C. Is there a C? Can I bring my own speakers? Will they charge me for this?

C. Bring your own portable music player.

There is no charge, but they won't set it up for you, so you'll need to designate a member of your party to do it and run it. :thumbsup2

The bigger the room, the harder it will be to fill it with music, but maybe if you just want background music while you eat, that's OK.

Plus, it seems like they're getting more sophisticated all the time, with surround sound and other tricks to make them sound bigger than they are.

Here's a link to CNET's reviews of portable iPod speaker systems:

I know there are a few people on this board who have recommended particular models in the past - hopefully they'll come along and weigh in. :goodvibes

The best iPod speaker out there is hands down- the Bose Sound Dock. This will cost about $400. However, you must remember that even though it's the best, it is still consumer grade. It could easily service one room with about 30 people and sound like a concert hall.

The rental setup will cover more space/guests, as Disney uses a pro audio loudspeaker. For comparison, you can visit the Apple store and hear the demo of the sound dock.

Hope this helps!
