Mushroom Filet Mignon at Le Cellier

Could it have been the teriyaki filet? That was sweet. I had it in February. It's not on the menu anymore....

That could be what it was...it was very scrumptious!! I have always had a "hankering" for teriyaki anything...ha! Hate it's not on the menu but I am SURE I'll find something else when we go in a few weeks! :goodvibes

All this talk about filets at Le Cellier is making me more bummed that I can't get an AR there during my next trip!

If you subsitute the mushroom rissoto is there anything left that's mushroom-ey?

I would like to know that too, I do not like mushrooms, but I love the filet mignon, and wish they hadn't gotten rid of the other one.

There was a small amount of mushroom placed on top of the filet. I'm sure if you do not like mushrooms you could clearly state to keep any and all mushrooms off of the plate!!!:rotfl:

We ate there in August. My brother and I both hate mushrooms so he ordered his without mushrooms, it was delicious!! It tasted like Chicken Marsala (which he usually orders without mushrooms too) You won't be dissapointed!

Remember people, this is a Canadian themed/inspired restaurant. No teriyaki filets in such a place. What you had was the maple bbq filet, which is no longer on the menu.

Yep, it was awesome. Was so bummed. I wonder if they sell the maple BBQ sauce there? If so I'm buying it and taking it in with me!!!!! :lmao:

Now I have a new thing to worry about since the filet is still on the menu - risotto or cream cheese mashed potatoes! They both sound awesome. I may make my husband get one and I will get the other so I can try both!

Only 30 more days till our trip! I am so excited to have ADRS here again!!!!

It was a couple of weeks ago, which surprised us becasue it never used to be (at least not through 2007 - I don't know when they changed the menu). We were happily surprised.

is this still on the lunch menu?

The mushroom filet is still on the lunch menu and dinner menu. This particular filet has been on the lunch menu for years because it is all my husband has eaten during our last three summer visits.

I think you are talking about the mushroom filet as well?? It kind of got lost in the other discussion about the BBQ Maple filet.

The mushroom filet has been around for at least three-four years (and probably since Le Cellier first switched from cafeteria to steakhouse) on the lunch menu because my husband has always had a filet--until this year that is--long story, but he won't be doing that ever again. . .:rotfl: There was a time the BBQ Maple filet was also on the lunch menu. The only reason I recall this is because, again, my husband loved it and hates mushrooms, and we only eat lunches not dinners.

The sauce on the mushroom filet is or was during our last visit in June, a demi glace and it is wonderful!

So you can get this without Mushrooms?

Yes, you can get the filet without mushrooms, without sauce, and with the cream cheese potatoes instead of mushroom risotto. My husband did both in June--no mushrooms and potatoes instead of risotto.

Yes, I was. I guess I should rephrase and say it wasn't a regular on the lunch menu year round. On our trips over the past three or four years, after Thanksgiving and around Memorial Day, they had the maple bbq filet and not the mushroom filet on the lunch menu. That was why we were bummed to only get a lunch reservation thei past August as we'd never seen the mushroom filet on the lunch menu. I asked the server about it during our meal and he said that Le Cellier made the change to add the mushroom filet to the regular lunch menu and get rid of the maple bbq filet.

Now I understand. I knew they changed the menus seasonally, but also knew it has been on the menu for us every time. You definitely visit at different times than our family--we used to be confined to the summer, but will be headed down in May this year! Hopefully, the menu will remain the same for the pre-memorial day visit! :thumbsup2

Meh... maple BBQ... teriyaki -- I'm sure it all comes from the same vat in the central Epcot pantry! :rotfl:
