Murtha is being sued.

Heard yesterday, but haven't seen it in a thread here. Congressman Murtha is being sued by one of the soldiers that he publicly accused of cold-blooded murder of women and children (I beleive that is a fair paraphrase of his claim). I'm sure others can post links if they need. Just wanted to hear what others may think of this.

Good. If the man is innocent, then Murtha is guilty of slander and defamation.

He's up for reelection this year. His opponet, William Russell, has ads referencing the embarrassments over the years. One is a "doozy" concerning the slander, allegations, etc.

I like that second one. It's spot on. Murtha is on the other side of my state. He is an embarrassment.

Sadly, the first Marine to file charges did so over 2 yrs. ago. Still no ruling. Murtha is pawning the blame off on supposed "top officials" who were his sources. Last year, it was found that anti-war propaganist were behind the lies about the Marines...they "leaked" misleading info. and downright lies to a "rag" newspaper. Murtha picked up the garbage & without checking sources, he ran with it.

Even sadder, a lot of people do not realize it is lies. They honestly believe that these Marines went in and executed innocent people. I guess the "truth" about Marines doing their job isn't as "sexy" or "compelling" as the alternative.
