We're headed to the World for 2 weeks at SSR, however our first 2 nights will be at the Cabins at Fort Wilderness... Just wondering how the Murphy Bed is or isn't for comfort??? We will be having two adults sleeping on it and are concerned that it might not be comfortable enough... hate for them to get a sore back the first 2 days of our trip.... Would appreciate any feedback so we can decide wether or not we need to book elsewhere....
Thanks

We (DH and I) slept on the murphy bed in July for one night before checking into BWV. We thought it was very comfortable. We stayed there for 1 night to do the Chip and Dale campfire which our DGS 4 loves.

I'm 6'1" and DW is 5'11" and we stayed in a Fort Wilderness cabin for 6 nights a few years back and the murphy bed was perfectly comfortable. It's definitely much more like a 'regular' bed than a sleeper sofa. Only downside is that you are sleeping in the living room so not as much privacy as a bedroom.

I am moving this over to our Camping at WDW Board which is the best place for this question. Thanks

We have slept on the Murphy bed, it's comfy enough. :thumbsup2 Enjoy your trip to The Fort.

Truthfully the Murphy beds in the cabins are pretty comfortable.

Granted, they aren't king-sized, queen-sized, or even double-sized.

Somewhere between twin and double I would say.

But me and DW had no trouble sleeping like a rock in it after a day at the parks.

We slept on the Murphy bed for a couple of weeks last winter. It is fine. Both it and the bed in the bedroom are full size double beds.

Thank you all for the feedback! We are very excited about staying at the cabins for a couple of night.

Sorry to sound foolish but do the murphy beds really fold up into the wall or do they have some other configuration?

It goes right into the wall.
