Screamscape reports that the Muppet's mobile Lab has been sighted in EPCOT

(8/22/07) Epcot guests are now being entertainment by the antics of the Muppet Mobile Lab attraction, the same “living character” creation that was thrilling guests at California Adventure in a test run earlier this year. Why the MML hit Epcot and not the Studios… I’m not quite sure, though the characters are right at home in Epcot’s Future World of course. As I understand it the MML has just started a test run in Epcot that will last for the next few weeks before they pack up and make plans to test it out again in Hong Kong. We have pictures of the MML in action sent in by a reader as well a new shot of Spaceship Earth without the now big wand or little stars, now that tower has gone down to the point where it isn’t seen from all over the park.

it's at epcot because the mobile labs requires a lot of open space to function properly. They aren't staying long.

Sounds like a "next phase" follow-up to "Lucky" the dinosaur.

whatever happened to good old Lucky? Last I heard he was being re-fitted into a cute lovable (for plush toys) dragon

I stumbled onto the mobile muppet lab last week and it was a highlight of our trip! I LOVE the Muppets...especially Beaker and Dr. Honeydew :) They ride around on a Segway and interact with the audience. All kinds of stuff shoots out of the labs...the whole show is too cute. Try to catch it if you can.

Hate to be the one to break it to you...but "Lucky" was in a car accident, broke both legs, Got addicted to pain pills, lost his job, defaulted on his home loan got a case of the Avian (bird) Flu,...and had to be put down. "Lucky" still lives on in our hearts and in name.

We ran into the Muppet labs on Thursday 8/23 and really liked it. I thought it fit pretty well at Epcot. They were performing "experiments" on guests and such.

In the end, I guess it makes more sense to put them in MGM, but maybe they could do something with the Muppets and redoing the terrible JII???

If memory serves me correctly, I think he was finally supposed to be sent to Disney's California Adventure at DL.

I just watched the video-

This looks very cool.

Of course I'm always blown away by Tommorowland's interactive trash can, so having a conversation with a Muppet with no human around would be the best!

I imagine a Disney restaurant in a few years with an all Muppet waitstaff. How fun! :)

I believe he was at DL, then WDW, and finally HKDL. Now I think he may be temporarily "extinct".

That would be so cool to have a Muppet Character Meal!!!

there was a rumor that Mama Melrose was going to be re-themed into a muppet eatery

I'm pretty sure there were big plans for a whole Muppet area in MGM until Eisner got a hold of them....a crazy dinning room ran by the Swedish Chef a Great Movie Type ride but with the Muppets replacing the famous movie stars...along with some other ideas. I think Jim Hill wrote about it before.

Correct. But when Disney got the rights recently, there was that Mama Melrose rumor popping up. Its kind of gone away
