Question for those of you who have ridden the Mummy since the grand opening....
I'm not a big roller coaster fan and cannot handle the big ups and downs like you get on Fire and Ice or the corkscrews on Hulk. I LOVE Spiderman. Rock 'n Rollercoaster at Disney/MGM is fun, too, but hate the Tower of Terror because of the sudden drops. Just wondering how the Mummy compares so I can decide what my chances are to enjoy the ride? I didn't find a thread that addresses this so thought I would start one.
Thanks!

I took a Dramamine and still got sick. Maybe it was the dark but I handled the Hulk better than the Mummy.

I'm not a fast coaster person but I loved Mummy. There are no "big" drops in it, but the main thing I remember is how fast it was and it was in the dark so you couldn't see what was coming. You just had to brace yourself and get ready for anything. I was a little shaken up at the end, because I'm not used to fast coasters but after I calmed down I was ready to ride again! I can't wait to go back and do it again!

I LOVED this ride! Have a huge green bruise on my left arm to prove it, too! We caught it last week during rehearsals =)

I can't compare it to Spiderman because they're so different. I'm a big chicken, but really loved it. I think you'll enjoy it, esp if you like RnRC at MGM. Its fast, mostly in the dark, with quick stops and starts. VERY THRILLING and cool. Give it one shot, I did that much! =)

It's all good - cuz I got my dramamine packed and ready!

I just wish it didn't make me so drowsy..

Try the LESS DROWSY dramamine - it's the best. Also since you take 1 dose a day, take it before you go to bed the day before you go to the park. You will not get sick and you will not be sleepy:)

You cannot compare the 2 rides, completely different. I guess I would describe it as a scary rockin rollercoaster. You cannot see anything, but the ride is fast and very entertaining. I rode it 10 X and it was great.

Have a great trip!

The Mummy is very fast with quick turns and dips both backwards and forwards. You have to be ready for anything. Plus a lot of the drops and turns are in the dark with flashes of light and smoke. There are no huge drps like ToT or loops like on RNRC or Hulk though.

On the ride vehicles it cautions you to brace your head against the backrest but it's hard to do.

Can you tell when you are going to go backwards on the ride?

You go backwards after the scarabs. My husband hates roller coasters and he rode this one several times.

You only go backwards once and it is not at a high rate of speed.
