I plan on riding the Mummy first thing when the park opens. I have heard several great things about the queue and how it totally enhances the ride (by adding story and buildup). My question is, if i do it first thing with the rush of the crowd, will I not have the opportunity to take in the queue/preshow? What if I use express pass later in the day? Any advice will be appreciated! Thanks.

If you use FOTL, you will miss the preshow that sets up Reggie, the gofer sent to get coffee for Brendan Fraser, who you meet as the ride begins.

I am not all that enthralled by the preshow, which I think kinda drops the narrative ball, for reasons I explain here.

For the first ride, I would recommend waiting in the stand-by line to see the story unfold. They really did a great job turning Kong into ROTM. If you decide to go again, try the single rider's line but sometimes, if it's busy, it's as long a wait as the other line.

Naw, just go on the ride first thing and enjoy it.

The stuff in the queue didn't mean much to me. I walked thru slowly and didn't understand it.

The queue i though was not that great. it is super super long and we were lucky didn't have to wait in all of it but it is VERY deceiving- right when you think its over there is another section. definitely do express pass- your not missing anything waiting in the long calstriphobic line!

I had used FOTLA all of the times I have gone on this and I have to say....I didn't know there was soemthing you get to see before you get on this ride :confused3 But with that said, I still thought this was the best ride in the park :cheer2:
