July 2nd (part 4): Rain, ducks, and fishes

Since it was raining, we went on the Grand Fiesta Tour! Now, we never go on this, but we thought it was time to try it out. I know I have been on this in the past, but not in several years. And plus the line was only 5 minutes so yay!

This is just sad.

And ALL THROUGH THE ENTIRE RIDE…

To the idiot in front of moi on grand fiesta tour that is taking flash pictures, leave. Now.

It was worse than an iPad! I literally wanted to throw his camera in the water.

We got off the ride and I noticed Donald was meeting inside due to the rain so we got in line.

After meeting Donald, we headed outside and headed towards Test Track to just see if there were any FPs left. And that would be a big no. Of course I wanted to ride it and see what they changed (aka a lot) but I could wait.

So we went into Mousegear and looked around and there was a pin board out so PIN TRADING!

Next we headed over to The Seas and got in line for the ride. And the line was really long! No me gusta. Like always, the ride was pleasant.

We got off and headed to Turtle Talk and the next show was starting in 10 minutes. So I stood in line for Mr. Ray’s Pop Quiz. With a bunch of 5 year olds. And yeah I stood in line. So I got up there and Mum was like “Just do advance!” And surprisingly, I GOT 100%!!!!!!!! Which is like the biggest shocker ever. Well I mean, Mum kinda helped moi but ya know…

Little kids were laughing at moi while I was doing Mr Ray's Pop Quiz. Losers.

We were let in soon and like always, it was very cute and all, dudes.

After Turtle Talk, we headed upstairs to see the manatees. They are so cool! And IDK why they are so fat when all they do is eat lettuce. Like what the crap.

We moved on to look at some fishes and other creatures you find in the big blue world.

We headed downstairs and someone was going up in the lock out chamber (which sounds like really scary) so we watched her.

July 2nd (part 5): MONORAIL SPAM!

After the Seas, we went over to the Land cause um, I needed food. Like always.

I CAN SMELL IT NOW AHH.

I had one thing in mind. And that would be the strawberry shortcake from Sunshine Seasons cause DUH. So I got a piece and Mum got CHEETOS. That doesn’t make sense to moi at ALL. But whatever.

After we paid for my shortcake and Mum’s cheetos (…), we found a table and I died of heavenliness—that’s a real word?! Ok then—but first FOOD PICS.

I almost died. No lie.

After I ate, we headed over towards the Odyssey because Mum had to make a phone call (moving stuff) so we thought that would be a semi-quiet place.

While I waited for her, I went picture CRAZAY cause um EPCOT and the MONORAIL was going by so that caused moi to go nuts. And then all of a sudden the monorail goes by and you aren’t ready and you go insane… Yeah. Good thing I have my handy dandy DSLR.

So enjoy these pictures and cry. That’s what I’m here for. And I am expecting to get comments that say “THE FEELS” because of reasons. *cough* my twin *cough*

July 2nd (part 6): More food, goodbye Epcot, and I get felt up. YAY!

After the monorail photo shoot, we headed to Club Cool for the 3rd time that day because I am obsessed with watermelon soda and it is a problem. That is like why we are moving to Florida.

3rd time in club cool today. #watermelonsodaaddict

Anyways…

Here is my watermelon soda that you can’t see. BUT IT IS IN THERE. Or maybe not because I drink it in like two seconds.

We headed outside and strolled on down to Spaceship Earth for the last ride of the trip. Even though we went on like 4 things…

BUT FIRST PALM TREES CAUSE OF REASONS.

LOVE.

We got in line with a bunch of tour groups. Oh the joy of going to Disney in July…

I take a lot of pictures. Deal with it.

My ride pics that came out like total crap since I am too lazy to change my settings.

I JUST GOT A BRILLIANT IDEA BUT I AM NOT SAYING IT CAUSE SOMEONE WILL STEAL IT.

Pretty soon we got our futures delivered to us and I was like “Who’s that hottie?! She probably has boys chasing after her 24/7! I want to be her!”

After we got off Spaceship Earth, we headed back to France to get more food cause we hadn’t had enough that day. We were YOLOing. Deal with it.

The ice cream is a bit on the pricey side but IT IS SO GOOD.

THE NOMS.

For my ice cream, I got coffee and Mum got vanilla. She is adventurous to say the least.

The ice cream was REALLY good. I have had the ice cream at the stand when you first enter France from Morocco but I thought this was better. We will DEFINETLY be back.

We headed out of the park because we had to head to the airport so we ate our ice cream on the way out. And I ended up eating mine WAY too fast and ended up with a tummy ache. Or I just ate way too much that day…

We got on the tram and it was almost completely empty. Works for moi.

We found our car and then headed to the gas station. A ton of CMs were there getting gas and I was like “I’M GONNA BE YOU SOMEDAY!”

Then we headed to MCO.

We got to the airport and returned our car which was SO easy. We just drove it right up and that was it!

We headed inside to get our bags checked and there was a long line. It took about 15 minutes.

Next was security.

My favorite part about the airport!

So we got in line and all. I went through the big machine first and of course, I had metal buttons on my shorts. So the woman asked me if I had anything in my pockets and I said no, it was just the buttons.

So she felt moi up.

That was the worst experience I have ever had.

And then she said “come over here” in her manly voice. She was not nice. She probably worked at Universal before….

So I went over where she told me and she grabbed this thin piece of cardboard and started wiping it on my hands and then continued to put it in a machine that read PUT SAMPLES IN HERE.

SHE WAS TAKING MY CRAPPIN’ DNA.

I was like “what do you think?! I’m a terrorist?!”

It was so not cool.

So then the stupid sample came back fine and she let moi go.

And during this whole thing mum was yelling “WHERE ARE YOU TAKING HER?! SHE IS A MINOR!!!!”

I love security.

They must’ve known who I was after that whole thing with my grandmother in November…

MOVING ON cause I don’t want to relive that memory...

Once we took the fake-o-rail and all of that, we found a table in the food court and finding a house stress occurred. We needed to send back our contract but Mum needed to sign it and… it was just awful. But we got outbid with a “verbal” offer anyways……..

I then got a sandwich at Au Bon Pain and it was fine.

We went to our gate after I ate and it was SO cold in there.

Moi: "I need a snuggie."

RIGHT before we were about to board, our gate got moved and it was delayed. Once we finally got on the plane, it was delayed even MORE because we were waiting on two people. IDK why they just didn’t leave them there for cryin’ out loud!

We got to Providence at 12:40 AM and made our way down to baggage check.

After we got our bags, we found the shuttle and the guy asked where we were parked. Mum said “I think M11!” The driver was like “um…. There is no M11!” Some other dude on the shuttle got a kick out of that.

After we found out where the crap we were parked, we headed home. It was 2:40 once we got home and then we had to fill out the contract so that was fun. It was 3:30 when I finally got to bed.​

July 9 - 11th: House hunting take TWO

I’m just gonna say right now, there are barely any pictures for this trip. I did bring my camera though so we have a few so sit back and relax and get ready to read. A LOT.

And you will soon realize this trip was not worth our time or money because of reasons… Let’s get on with the show!

So we got up bright and early on July 9th. Mum got woken up by Meeko at 2:30 and I woke up at 4. We got ready and then headed to Logan since, um, we were flying out from there.

We parked in the economy lot since we have no money.

We found a spot on the 3rd level and then took the elevator to get to the shuttle. And a little doggie was on the shuttle. He was so cute!

So we got to Terminal E soon after getting on the shuttle. Now, we were taking Air Tran but we booked our flight on Southwest since Southwest owns Air Tran. So we already had our boarding tickets and we just needed to check our bags so we got in the “express” line, which took like a half hour but we had time. One dude didn’t though because he got there like 5 minutes before his flight took off….. I don’t understand people sometimes. At all.

So after waiting for 30 minutes, we got to the counter and you were supposed to scan your tickets and just hand your bags to the ONLY WOMAN working the joint. And low and behold, our tickets wouldn’t scan. So she asked us if we were taking Southwest and we answered no, Air Tran.

“Well this line is only for Southwest.”

Really? CAUSE ALL OF THE STUPID SCREENS SAY AIR TRAN AND SOUTHWEST.

So she was like “Well I guess I can help you now but you are in the wrong line.”

Idiot.

And there were many idiots in the airport that morning. We had some wonderful people in line with us. So we had Idiot #2 (Idiot #1 was the guy who missed his flight). She left her bag unattended—we should’ve called 911—first. And then she was like “Oh this is ridiculous!” so she got in the non-express line and then that wasn’t any faster I guess so she cut in line and said “oh I just left for a second and this is my spot!” Yeah. I don’t think so. THEN (it gets better), this guy was saying there was a line outside you could go into and she was like “WHAT DID YOU SAY?!” So these cute little British people behind her told her two times what he said so she got out of line AGAIN. Thank GOD that was the end of Idiot #2. The British people were like “She was so rude!”

Anyways…

We went through security and then got our usual breakfast at Dunkins.

Then we got “lunch” at some store because we had a stop but we wouldn’t be getting off the plane so we needed some food. So I got chips and Oreos. I am healthy.

We used the bathroom before we were going to board (important info).

We boarded and got seated next to the girl who was in a pageant. It wasn’t like Toddlers & Tiaras: Airplane Style. She didn’t have any pageant crack on her. I think she was like a junior in high school.

I didn’t know what we were in for for this flight. We saw her at our gate and she had six inch heels on, a tiara, and a sash. I just rolled my eyes but she was really nice and so was the rest of her family. And Mum seemed very interested in the whole pageant thing. And I was just sitting there like “You’ve got to be kidding moi right now.” I was kind of jealous to be honest because her pageant was being held at the Swan and the Fish. I wanted to go! But not participate in the pageant and just chill at the Epcot resorts because of reasons.

So we had a pretty chill flight. We landed in Ohio at about 11 and stayed on the plane. We took off at about 11:40 again.

I watched The Boys which is a documentary on the Sherman Brothers which caused a lot of feels. And I watched the Aristocats and died over the cuteness of Marie.

We landed at MCO at 1:40 which was 20 minutes early so BOO YA!

The feels tho.

We headed down to Baggage Claim and our bags were already there so we grabbed them and then headed down to Budget to get our rental car. THANK THE WONDERFUL LORD UP ABOVE that the rental car line wasn’t five miles long. It only took about 15 minutes this time around!

We headed across the street and found our rental car right away. SO EASY THIS TIME.

We left MCO and headed to our first house showing right away. This was serious dudes!

At about 3:30, our realtor got there and we hadn’t met her yet because when we went down the first time, she was on vacation so we went with her boss to see the first set of places. And our realtor’s name is Stacy so she was cool.

We saw three places in this apartment complex. They were ok. One though… omg. It looked like a cat threw up all over the floor and no one every cleaned it. It was a foreclosure anyways, so there’s that…

Next up… I wrote in my journal “We went to God knows where because I can’t remember.” Seriously, all of these places are a blur to moi because we saw SO many this day.

Next we saw two places in the same complex. A 2 and a 3 bedroom. The 2 bedroom was SO small. It was extremely nice but there just wasn’t enough room. The 3 bedroom had much more room but we would need to get all new flooring because it was ripped out so that would be a tad bit expensive.

Then we saw two in another town that I was really looking forward to see because I was in love with the school. The first one… That was a big no. It had a lot of problems with it. The second one though… We just loved it. It was in a great area, the whole place had been redone, it was on an old golf course that wasn’t being used anymore… It was just perfect. AND THE SCHOOL. We REALLY liked this one and it was our top choice. We were really excited!

We headed to the next place and it had a villa feel to it. It was just too small.

So we were headed to the last place and Stacy got out of her car and told us she just got a call from Megan (her boss).

So you know how we originally put an offer on one and then we got outbid by a “verbal” offer?

Yeah. The “verbal” offer fell through.

We didn’t know what to do at that point. We still had one to see (that was not in the running at all) and we just loved another one but also loved the original condo…….

It was just ridiculous.

So we went to see the last place and it was ok. The area wasn’t fantastic though. We were supposed to see another one there but we couldn’t get in.

Mum asked Stacy about seeing the original place once again so we could compare the two we liked.

We said goodbye and then headed to our hotel.

We were staying at an Extended Stay since it was the cheapest.

We checked in and everything and made our way down to our room. And it just smelled like someone had been smoking a pack of cigarettes. Our room smelled kinda like that too because we got a smoking room when we asked for a non-smoking room. We were only gonna be here for two nights so it wasn’t a huge deal.

So here is our wonderful room that I know y’all wanted to see.

Great, I know.

We were hungry so we got in the car and looked what was around. We decided on Cracker Barrel and had a wonderful meal there. I mean, it has to be wonderful when you have the Coke chocolate cake. That stuff is GOOD so I was happy.

After we ate, Mum forced moi to go to the Christmas Tree Shoppe. No offense to anyone, but I hate that store with a burning passion. I have never liked it and never will. It’s great that there is one like 5 minutes from where we will be living…..

We headed back to our hotel and I wrote in my journal for a while and went online.

July 10th

We woke up at about 8:30 and I took my sweet time to get ready. It’s not like we needed to get going, so yeah.

Since we were doing like nothing, I wanted to go to Theme Park Connection. If you don’t know what Theme Park Connection is, you need to go and find help because THAT STORE IS AMAZING.

So we left at about 10 and we got so lost. Our GPS was being awful so I was using Mum’s phone and I heard some choice words come out of Mum’s mouth that will not appear in this TR.

Since we didn’t know where the crap to go, we kind of figured it out from the help of Mum’s phone.

Except we ended up driving on the wrong side of the road but that’s another story for another time…

And have I mentioned that we never had breakfast? So that resulted in some crankiness but anyways…

We finally got to Theme Park Connection and it is in a very weird location. I don’t really know how to explain it so… just go for yourselves and thank moi.

We went in and I was hit with so much awesomeness that I almost fell and couldn’t get up.

Attractions Magazine was filming their weekly episode there so we had to be very quiet which was hard for moi to do, cause let’s be real now.

So we looked around for a quite a while. I was in heaven.

I was just sad they didn’t have any CM name tags because they went to the Disneyana Convention in CA, but we well be back of course!

We ended up talking to the girl that worked there and she used to be a pastry chef at MK. How cool, dudes!

So I ended up getting some things. DUH.

Here are some pics.

After I bought my stuff, we headed to Chick Fil A cause we were hungry and I needed chicken, like always.

I got my usual. Nuggets, fries, and a shake.

If y’all haven’t been to Chick Fil A, they come over and give you refills, take your trash away and all of that fun stuff. So one of the employees takes the trash from the woman behind us and after he leaves, she goes “Oh, what a great Christian man!” to her kids in her thick southern accent. I was like “oh my god…”

After lunch, we went to go see the high school that I thought I’d be going to. More on that soon…

We went to Target next and looked around and got a drink at Starsucks.

Then we went to the mall in the town we will be living in and we looked around in several stores.

I tried several things on in Forever 21, including a dress. I REALLY liked it but Mum said it didn’t look great on moi. I’m fine with her opinion cause um she’s my mother and she didn’t like the dress but this random woman chimes in and kept telling moi the dress looked bad on me and kept telling me I shouldn’t get it. And she was pretty rude about it. I guess not everyone in FL is nice…

I ended up just buying a pair of shorts there and then we moved on.

We went to Hallmark to check out all of the ornaments. There are so many I want!!

We also went into Hot Topic and Build a Bear because of reasons.

We left the mall at 4:45 and we were going to go to Publix and walk around or something but Stacy said she was going to be at the place we loved that we saw yesterday early so we just drove over there.

Stacy had her two kids with her and they were really cute. One was doing an ocean/sea life camp and he was going to Sea World the next day for a field trip, which didn’t seem like a big deal to him but to us it was like “WOW that’s so cool!” I mean, to us that is a vacation and all, but to them, they are locals and it’s no big deal. It’s very interesting…

So we checked out this place once again and then headed to the original place that we loved.

After some thought, we decided to go with the new condo and put an offer in.

We said bye to Stacy and then went to this place called Mimi’s Café and it was really good! We enjoyed it and were so full afterwards. We were talking to the General Manager at the end of our meal and he lived near the new place and he said it was like a retirement community, meaning it was so quiet, which is fine for us!

Before going back to the hotel, we went to Home Depot and looked around.

Then we headed back and packed for a few and headed to bed.

July 11th

Mum got up at 3:15. We had an early flight out of MCO at 7am. It’s awful, really.

After we got ready, we headed to the front desk to check out but no one was there so we just dropped our keys off and left. Whatevs.

Getting to MCO was really easy. We just stayed on this one road the whole time and we just arrived there. Ok then…

We dropped the car off and then checked our bags. The line was nice and short, thank God.

We got some donuts at Krispy Kreme before heading to security.

And I was very sad to see that the Earport was closed.

If this isn’t creepy, I don’t know what is.

We headed to security and oh my GOD the line was like 10 miles long. It was ridiculous.

So we got up the podium and the guy asked me “How old are you?” And I answered “Good, you?”

I blame that on it being 6am and all…

Going through security was a breeze, THANK THE LORD UP ABOVE.

Except for the idiot that was trying to bring on a giant bottle of lotion…

We were on side A which felt really weird (we were taking Jet Blue) since we are ALWAYS on side B.

We got some breakfast which consisted of overpriced crappy grapes. It was wonderful.

Boarding started soon after and they let the back rows on first, which is a smart thing to do.

It was great because we had SO much leg room and having the TVs was awesome. It helped past the time.

And they let you pick your snack so I got cookies and mum got animal crackers. You’re welcome for that info… But Mum ordered a tea and never got it. That was great cause then she was a tad bit cranky…

We got to Boston at about 9:45, got our bags, and then found our car.​

Like the rest of July: A LOT of NEWS

So yeah. I don’t even know where to start. So much has happened since house hunting take TWO happened that it is ridiculous. And y’all are probably wondering “what the crap is up?!” A lot is up actually. If any of you follow moi on Twitter, I have said what the news is and all, but if not, this will pretty much wrap it all up.

I guess I will start off from where house hunting take TWO left off.

So we went home and put in our offer for this new condo. Now, it was weird because half of the living room could be converted into a 3rd bedroom, but we liked the big space for the living room. And this guy wanted to put in all new carpet which wasn’t necessary. We liked it how it was so we put in a semi-lower offer.

It wasn’t accepted.

Then someone else put a higher offer in, which got outbid with an offer OVER asking price. And the funny thing is is that this place is still on the market. So we think this high offer fell through. It’s great, really.

I have to say, I was a little disappointed. I was in love with the school, but, they only had like one more program I really wanted, which was hospitality and tourism, but at the school I think I will be going to, they have a whole club for it and they have everything else I want.

We really didn’t know what to do. We were in love with the original place we put an offer in so we went back to there. We put an offer in (same amount as last time).

They wanted more money.

So, Stacy sent back the revised contract for more money and HALLELUJAH.

They accepted it.

So now we have a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, right on a LAKE, where we will not going swimming in because of reasons. And if you don’t know what that reason is, one word, folks: alligators.

But I mean, we have THREE pools, two clubhouses, and all in all, the complex is really nice. Mum and moi both really like the area and there is SO much stuff around. Where we live now, we don’t even have a normal grocery and have to drive at LEAST 30 minutes to get to one. In FL, we can drive right down the road and Publix is right there. And um, DISNEY WORLD is 35 MINUTES away.

After they accepted our offer and everything, Mum had to send in a deposit within 3 days and then within 5 days, we had to get an inspection done.

Stacy went to the inspection for us and everything is mostly fine. The electric panel is kinda old so we would probably need to replace that and then we need to replace the water heater because it is old as well. But everything else is fine, thank GOD.

And during all of this, we had 3 people come to see our place here in MA! Two of them were definite no’s, but the 3rd one is a couple and two little kids that are going to rent it and are moving in on the 1st! So that is out of the way, good thing.

That brings us to when we are leaving.

We are going to be leaving on the 31st and staying overnight in North Carolina and then continue onto FL the next day so we can be there for the closing on the 2nd, so we’ll just stay someplace cheap on the night of the 1st. And we will NOT be driving the moving truck. No one trusts Mum to drive one of those things since we have a tiny car now. So we are having friends drive it down and they will arrive on the 3rd. We were just gonna sleep on the floor in our condo for one night since we won’t have any furniture, but Mum refuses. She likes a bed, so we will be staying at a hotel. Ridiculous… Then they are leaving that night and then the next day, we have the cable dudes coming to hook everything up between 8 and 10 and then it is DISNEY TIME!!!!!

And also on the 2nd, we have to go to the school department to sign moi up for school. Fun times… and then I will start on the 13th!

It has been crazy busy here. Between packing, saying peace out to the losers, I MEAN, our wonderful friends and family here, and just going nuts, we have been losing our minds. It is ridiculous.

We have a TON to do between now and the 31st. So the updates will be on the DL for a while. And then we will be going to Disney until the 10th, so after that, I will have way too much to write about. Like always, follow moi on twitter for live updates (@lifedis) and I will try to post some updates from the road and/or Disney if possible.

That would never happen. Mum can barely drive the car we have now! which is tiny. It sounds really funny, but we wouldn't come out alive if we drove da truck. Seriously.​

YAY for Chick Fil A! You HAVE to try the chicken minis that are served at breakfast (a chicken nugget on a roll, comes in a pack of 3 or 4) it. is. to. die. for. And we can't figure out why they aren't available all day rather than just breakfast because its like the most popular item on the menu. And j'adore the new asian chicken (fried nuggets) salad now too. I could go on about more menu items but will wait until you move and are 1.5 miles from the place so that your mouth doesn't water too much reading this.
