If i am booking 3 rooms do i put down one $200 deposit or 3 for a total of $600

I've booked 2 rooms at a time for several vacations and always had to pay the deposit for each room...so had to pay $400 every time (have a 2-room booking right now...and checked my confirms to be sure. Yep, each room has a separate deposit showing on it.)
So yeah, you'll have to pay $600.
