MULTIPLE SDMT Rides Before Park Opening!

What fun! We have an 8am adr, but they changed park opening to 8. :( Good news is, the Friday we are there is still 9am andthey had an 8:10 adr this morning so I booked it and we're back on. I'm keeping both for now- insurance against any more park time changes. lol

This would be so fun! Hope it happens more often!!

7DMT is a really cute ride, but one time through will suffice for me. I guess those with small children would find this a big benefit. :earsboy:

Well, that doesn't seem very fair, now does it?

It hurts no one that they get to ride extra. WDW is not kindergarten and not everyone has to get what everyone else does. Besides, you pay more, you get more. Maybe they should advertise it as perk of pre-opening adrs.

My grandson adores SDMT and at 3, his thrill rides are pretty limited. He'd ride this a dozen times over if he could. I'm happy just to get first ride or in the line with little wait. Multiple rides would be pixiedust:. :)

I paid more--we had a lunch and a dinner there and didn't get to bypas the line at all. No, PP, I don't think it's fair either. Other folks that paid just as much have likely been up at midnight just to try to get one line-less ride in.

Sounds like a great way to encourage people to quit booking the more expensive (and time consuming) table service breakfasts and opt for counter service instead.

I'm not going to complain because I LOVED having that "First Ride Of The Day" on SDMT,but I have to admit,I am SHOCKED they are giving BOG Guests MULTIPLE rides before the Main Gate Line arrives.

And do the people who get to ride it after breakfast cost you anything? No. If you want to ride it after breakfast with no wait (and without a guarantee that you will), book breakfast there. It's your choice.

Seriously, bog bf guests riding sdmt first or even multiple times before anyone else is there costs no one. It's just the idea that somebody is getting something you're not that irritates you.

I'm beginning to think there's just nothing people won't argue over on these boards.

Hmmm, that's interesting. :scratchin

Nope, not at all. I'm not the least bit interested in riding SDMT again. :) It sure is an interesting juxtaposition when it benefits you, though.

If everything at Disney was fair, nobody would get any extra pixie dust. Multiple rides on 7DMT don't always happen, it's just a little extra pixie dust. Disney does not advertise that pre RD BOG breakfast will allow a guest to ride Mine Train early, so I don't think fairness really enters this equation. Some days other guests get the pixie dust, some days it's us.

I'm happy for the people who want to pay $20pp for breakfast and the chance at one or more rides on SDMT. That isn't a priority for me, but I am all for paying for experiences that may decrease my wait in line (Candlelight Processional or Fantasmic dinners, for instance).

I think cgattis was responding to your comment, "You pay more, you get more." She was saying she paid more, but did not "get more". :confused3

Remember back when everyone used to think it was so unfair that some people knew they could use FP's late, and others didn't? Sort of puts that to shame! :rotfl:

Or how unfair it was to those that got to the parks early and took all the legacy FP's, not leaving any for the latecomers? :rolleyes1

Yes, but what that did cost someone else something. This doesn't. This is simply, I don't want them to have it because I choose not to get it. Big difference.

The mindset that I don't want someone to get something I don't get is what I find funny.

This exactly! This is an issue of extra pixie dust, not fairness. On our last trip, we were pulling into the MK parking lot, and handed the CM our credit card. He refused our card and said, "Have a magical day!". Was it fair that we got in free, while others that day paid for parking? I guess some choose to look at it that way. I myself would have a miserable trip if I went throughout the day wondering if others are getting something that I am not. I have an 8:05 BOG breakfast booked in 3 weeks…I booked this in hopes of having a low wait time for 7DMT (20 minutes or less). Anything better than that would be pixie dust for me! If it makes the non-BOG people feel better though, I only plan to ride once.

I agree that doesn't seem fair. Maybe equitable is a better word. Yes, those people paid for breakfast at BOG. And that gets them breakfast at BOG. Not sure how that translates into multiple rides on an attraction before the rest of the guests get there. Is this a perk listed on the site where you make your reservation? If so, then I don't see a problem with it. Then again, I would think most adults would be happy with just one ride on a kiddie coaster.
