MULTIPLE SDMT Rides Before Park Opening!

I find it much easier to get excited over small stuff than I do to get upset over small stuff. I'm strange that way I guess.

I don't find it hard to read things sequentially in a thread.

Full disclosure, though: I am procrastinating cleaning my house so the internet has my full attention at the moment.

And for those upset that they didn't get multiple rides on mine train after they ate breakfast at BOG, it has nothing to do with fairness and everything to do with how fast the CMs can get the ride up in the morning.

I was happy with my one ride,but the decision to allow multiple rides must be a very recent one-when we were there 3 weeks ago,we got out of BOG at 8:35 and the Mine Train was already running,but no riding allowed until around 8:50.

That's kind of neat. I would love that. I like that ride, but one ride isn't enough it's so short.

But maybe if you did it 3 times in a row it would almost seem like a full ride?

I will have a full-on come-apart if I strategically schedule my ADRs based on "best days" on that not to be linked to site only to have WDW go and change their hours to render my reservation impotent.
It won't be pretty.

This is the reason for my panic this morning and a mad grab for any character breakfast still available at a decent hour on another day. Pooh, I love you, but not enough to miss RD. The 26th of June is still safe, but for how long?

As far as I can tell, BOG always opens for breakfast at 8am. We are going in August, and I don't know if breakfast will still be offered then. If it is, my workaround is EMH rope drop at 8am. No diners at rides before me, right?

When we were there 2 weeks ago, they held us in the stand-by line until the group from the main entrance came around the bend. We were in the third or fourth train and about 2/3 of the way back in the line. I guess if someone wanted to ride multiple times and the stand-by wasn't long, he or she could have ridden multiple times but with the guests from the main entrance.

If Disney is allowing BOG bf people multiple rides on SDMT it is because they know the word will spread like wildfire. I see the price of BOG breakfast going up up up!
Given the proximity to the 2 most popular attractions in Disney this breakfast is a goldmine for them and could become the most sought after adr in all of Disney.

That *should* be right. The only caveat would be if they let people with 8:00 reservations in before EMH people, AND if some diners ditched their meal plans in favor of riding SDMT instead. I read a post where where a mom wanted to get an ADR for 4 people early at BOG. She then wanted for 2 of her party to dine there, while the other 2 made a beeline for SDMT or A&E, can't remember which. The theory was that she wouldn't get charged the no-show fees since part of her party showed up, and the 2 who wanted to experience the other thing would be first in line.

If that kind of thing is going on, there could be a very small group of people ahead of you. Again, very small .....

I don't know about all the strategy but when we were there on May 8th, we went into Be our Guest, had a nice breakfast and thought we'd go stand in line for Mine Train. They shooed us on in and we road three times in a row. We were beyond thrilled and it was a very magical moment for us because we didn't plan it or even try. We even lingered a little over our coffee. Nice surprise. And the Cast Members were so fun. They were like "hurry through and go again!! We still have a couple minutes!" It just put us in a great mood and was a fun surprise to start the day.

Agreed, but if people are doing it as a "throwaway", it might even be useful to have an 8:30 or 8:40 reservation ... provided people are willing to ditch it altogether, ride SDMT and (potentially) incur the no-show fee. Regardless, not a "big money maker", but I can see it still selling out even if they up the price. Part of the reason it's so popular now is it's the cheapest way to get in the park pre-opening.

Actually the BBB might be the cheapest way. Base package is $55 but your entire group can accompany the girl in.
