Multiple Rooms

We are traveling with friends. Is there a way to request rooms be near each other? Or can I assume that since our accounts are linked that will be done?

My impression is that it is not automatic. Ask for "adjoining" rooms. Link as "traveling together."

It can be difficult to get rooms near each other even when the same family has booked two rooms. Be sure to call and have the request noted on your reservation, and I'd also advise getting to the hotel as early as possible to restate the request and let them know you're willing to get your rooms later in the day/evening if it means having two rooms near each other.

If you want them close to each other, call the reservations line, give them both confirmation numbers, and ask to have a “traveling with” notation put on both of them. If you want rooms directly next to each other with an internal door connecting them, call the reservations number, give them both confirmation numbers, and ask for “connecting rooms.”

Connecting, not adjoining.

They only said they want to be near each other, so adjoining would be sufficient for that. Or just have it noted on the reservation that you're traveling together. We did that with my parents and wound up with connecting rooms.
