so I booked my room and ddp for September. I bought military rate tickets from the base. Because we will be there 7 days it was just cheaper to buy that way. I got the tickets today. I linked my first ticket to me, second ticket to husband, but then third ticket I was linking to my 6 year old and it said it wasn't the correct age did I still want to link? So questions.... 1. Even though it's military 4 day for adult (I'm not sure they even have child) will it still work for my daughter? 2. Because we are there for 7 days I bought two 4- day tickets each when I go to link them will it just be like adding a second ticket? Only one will work at a time right? I just want to be able to do fastpasses for all days.

Someone please help explain this to me.

The answer to your first question is yes you want to link the adult ticket to your child. There are no child Military Salute tickets. As far as your second question, I am less certain. We used two 4-day passes in 2013 but it was before the 60 day fast pass+ window so we just bought our tickets from Shades of Green when we arrived. I do believe, though, you just link both 4-day tickets to MDE. Good luck and have a great time!

Yeah the 60 day window is why I bought them now and not when I got there.

I can answer your second question since we just did this, and yes you can link the 2 tickets for each person and be able to book FPs at 60 days out for your entire stay.

It is just like linking a second ticket and only one will work at a time. Also, if you purchased the tickets through the mail from Shades of Green they are all ready activated, but if you purchased them from your local base you will need to activate them at any Guest Services.

I got them at local base and linked them in the MDE app.

Okay, those are vouchers and need to be activated at any Guest Relations window. There are Guest Relations windows outside every park and one at Disney Springs. Just take the vouchers with you and they will activate them and then you are good to go. We used the one at Disney Springs on our arrival day so we wouldn't have to do it the next morning when trying to get into a park. Not sure if you have used these before so just wanted to make sure you knew that they have to be activated even though you have them linked to MDE.

Also, staying onsite you will get a MB which can access the tickets but when you activate the vouchers they will give you the plastic tickets too. Each person kept their own plastic ticket just in case there was an issue with the MBs but we had no problems.

I did not know. Thank you. I've never used military tickets at WDW only DL, and DL doesn't do advanced fp. I bought them early so I could make fp selections. Will I be able to?

Yes, you will be able to book your FPs early. If I understood your first post correctly you are staying on property so you can book at 60 days.

I just found this page. It actually answers most of my questions. I posted in case anyone in the future comes across this thread with the same questions I had.

Yep, that's a great website. I was going to pass it along but I'm on my iPad and it's saved on my computer.
