I have a Kindle and am thinking about getting DH one for Father's Day. Would he be able to access the book purchases that are currently on my Kindle? He bought several books for mine that he would like transferred to his.

Yes, you can do this if they are both registered to the same account.

Amazon has also introduced a new feature where you can "loan" another user a book from your Kindle (if they are on different accounts.) It is for a limited time...I want to say for two weeks, but can't remember off the top off my head. Also, each book can be loaned only once.

Don't think so. There's a whole kindle forum on amazon, check it out and you'll probably get your answer. I think they wouldn't allow it because how would they make their money? Everyone would be transfering purchases all over the place.

Awesome! They'll both be on the same account.

I do it, and it works great. I send books to DH when I think he should read them. :)

We have multiple "gadgets" on one Kindle account, and we all read almost all of the books. It's a great thing; I wouldn't consider buying the Kindle until they allowed multiple items on the same account.
