Multiple Fastpasses??

Have any of you ever asked a CM what the policy is for late FP's? Because I have and all of them have told me that late FP's are PERFECTLY FINE AND ACCEPTABLE. I've seen them turn people away for being a single minute early, so do you really think that countless numbers of people would be able to use them late if it was "against the rules?" :confused3

Completely off topic as I'm not sure which side of this issue you're talking about....but this may well be my favorite Dis post ever....on any thread....about any topic!

Can I paraphrase this and use it as my signature (assuming that I eventually get my signature back, of course.)? Not being snarky or sarcastic here, this is a genuine question.

Of course you may use it subject to the following terms: for each post you make that has my quote, either exact or paraphrased, you must pay me a quarter. That's my policy. I accept PayPal.;)

BTW, can someone provide the OFFICIAL Disney press release forbidding double-booking of ADRs?

As far as proof of WDW's policy of late FPs...well all I can say is my hubby is a CM in TomorrowLand and works a FP attraction. His training included the rules around FP. He was told absolutely no early admission but anything on that day after the start time is allowed. So if that's what they're teaching the CMs, that has to be the policy. And for the most part, CMs all do it the same way so it must be how all are trained. I have no written proof but if you get to MK, you can ask my hubby to back that up. lol

Well, in that case, I may just have to steal it, but I will admit that I've stolen it and not try to twist what you've said to somehow make it seem that you actually gave or implied consent. :lmao:

the point everyone os making is where is this policy written. we cant just make up a policy becasue it suits us and call it fact.
the fact is the policy states that you are to return in the window.
again, do what you want, but dont pretend like you dont know the way fast passes are supposed to work, or what the official policy is. do it and admit you are bucking the system...thats the point.

I'm a bit confused here- first you say "where is this policy written" then you say "the fact is the policy states"?

The language on the Fast Pass tickets is not the policy. It does not state that you must return in that time frame, it nicely says "PLEASE" return at such and such time. That is very different.

If the policy was that you had to return in that time frame it would say "You MUST return... or "this ticket expires" at such and such a time.
Not trying to beat a very dead horse-but you are inferring a rule that is simply non existent.

I do know how FP are supposed to work and will continue to use them that way until Disney says otherwise.

You are free to use them however you like but please don't accuse others of
"bucking the system" because you choose to read more into the language on the FP ticket than what is clearly stated.

The fact remains that the "policy" has been confirmed over and over again by countless CMs and thousands of guests who are reading the language on the FP ticket literally.

I think using a Fastpass after the window is somewhat like going 66 in a 65 zone--no one gets in trouble for it and even the authorities don't care. They don't care because it has very little effect on the wait times. The occasional cast member may turn you away, but it's so rare as to not be worth worrying about. Those cast members who do turn you away are either a. anal b. grumpy c. poor math students or d. all of the above.

there was a reply in maybe the 3rd page taken for wdw official site about fastpasses. you can go look for ti youd like.

Yes I did see that but that is not Disney Policy either. That is simply an explanation of the FP system. And it does not say anywhere in that explanation that you MUST use the FP in the return window nor does it say that the FP expires at the end of the return window. It is basically a very generic how-to for Disney guests.

Why not ask a CM for yourself next time you are there?

i dont have to, my brother works there. he works, usually, outside of indiana jones. im quite aware of how it works and how the cms feel about hoarding tickets.

I have to agree with some of the OP here that they should enforce them more strictly, if they aren't going to enforce the times then what's the point of even putting it on there:confused3

Would everyone that disagrees with using fastpasses late please read the response above. I dont see what is so hard to understand. Many cm's have posted on this board that they are trained to take late fastpasses. Many posters have said they have asked cm's at the fastpass machines at a lot of different rides and all been told never early but YES you can use them late. I have asked at several rides also and been told the same thing. Again what is so hard to understand. If it wasnt disneys policy they would not be training there cm's to take them late.

Hmmm...maybe he needs to be retrained?

Indy is actually the only exception - the FP there is show specific and must be used during the printed window. Could it be that he is not aware of how other attractions work the FP tickets?

why would he need to be retrained. remember that just becuase they have to tell you one thing doesnt mean that thats what they want to tell you.

listen this is going no where, you all know how the fast passes work you want to hoard tickets, whatever no one really cares. just know that is not the intention of the fastpass.
have a nice life, im canceling my subscription to this thread.

Even though I'm clearly not going to change anyone's mind here, I'm not canceling my subscription to this thread.

Watching this has been a bit like how excited my kids get when they think they've discovered some loophole around a rule.

They have to tell you that one thing because it is Disney Policy. They may not like it or want to tell you that- but as CMs they must follow Disney Policy. The CMs don't get to decide the what the policy is- they only get to enforce it and make sure all guests are happy.

Man, I love these FP threads. The exact same argument every week.

I don't believe in tipping waitstaff by the way.

(Just kidding, thought I'd toss our other stock argument out there while we're going strong!):rotfl:
