Hi there. We’ve got an 8 night stay booked at Pop which is linked to our MDE but I have also booked a 1 night stay at Grand Floridian during this trip as a surprise present for my wife so we wouldn’t be checking out of Pop . Are we able to link the 2 bookings to my MDE or if not is there a workaround so I can still do this ?

Thanks for any help,

Yes you can link them both with no problem. The only thing is, does your wife access your MDE? Or if she has her own MDE are you linked as friends & family? If so, she’ll probably see the GF stay too & might ruin the surprise.

Yes you can have two different reservations linked on MDE, but you will be “checking out of Pop” and into GF. There isn’t a way to “link” the two stays together if that’s what you’re asking.

Thanks for confirming that. Yes I didn’t think about my wife seeing it on her MDE !! I might have to delete her app until we get there !!
One other question, if on our check out day at GF there is extended hours , will we be able gain entry ok & will there be any issues using our bands at all ?

Hi. Thanks for the reply.
Our 1 night stay at GF is in the middle of our Pop stay so we won’t physically check out as such, we’ll leave our main luggage in our room at Pop & take an overnight bad to GF. Then we’ll got back to our room at Pop when check out of GF. If we do this will we be able to use our bands & MDR etc as normal and can we gain entry to extended hours events without any issue too ?

I have no experience with being in 2 rooms at once, so I’m not positive. You might need to stop at the front desk & get your MB linked to that reservation. Once it is, you’ll have no problem with evening extra hours. You might need to stop at the desk at Pop the next day to delink to that room.

One other question, if on our check out day at GF there is extended hours…
You will have access to EEH on your Grand Flo check out day.

This is never an issue - the system always does this correctly.

Ooh. That’s a wonderful way to surprise your DW! I didn’t understand that you would still be in Pop. You should be eligible for extended hours on your GF day, but I agree that you should make sure that the technology will know this. I’m totally unknowledgeable about having two active hotel rooms at the same time. Hopefully some of our moderators will respond. Have a great trip!

But they are still checked into Pop at the same time.
This is one of the rare complications that doesn’t stymie the system. I’ve done EEH in many complicated ways and never had issue, and have also never read anyone having as long as these 2 things are true: You have a ticket that day to the EEH park and your name was on a deluxe reservation that either stayed, checked in or out that day. The system ignores everything else.

The EEH won’t be the problem. Opening the door will be the problem, but the Grand Flo can fix that.

Excellent, thanks all for your help and advice here, it’s reassured me to book it.
Sounds like I might have an issue opening my door at GF but hopefully nothing they can’t sort out there.
Thanks again 👏👍

Have a great trip. What a nice surprise it’ll be!

When GF sorts out your room key, mention your plans for EEH too, so they make sure their method solves both.

Many thanks , it’s our 25th anniversary & my wife has always wanted to stay there so should be a lovely surprise for her.
Will do & thanks again for your help.
