Multiple contracts, same resort

Hi, question.

If you have multiple contracts for the same resort - say 3 50pt contracts, when you call MS to make a ressie at your 11 month window, do all those points get pooled together? Or does something weird go on because they are seperate contracts?

I think it depends on the contracts / contract ID number.

For example, I have an initial contact of 200 points and an add on contract of 50 points. Both bought directly from Disney and both for the same resort. The add on contract has the same number as the initial (XXXXXXX), except the add on has an extension to it (XXXXXXX.xxx).

As far as I know, MS treats it all as one contract of 250 - I don't care which contract the points for reservations come from and my banking is all based on 250 points.

If you have different contract numbers for your three add ons (like you might if you bought one or more via resale), it may not work like that (I'm not 100% sure if that is true if the contracts are all for the same resort. I know it is true if they are for different resorts). For example, you might have to track things separately by individual contract. MS might have to transfer points between contracts to make reservations and your banking might also be by individual ontract - not as one combined total.

Best wishes -

As Carol said, it depends on a few factors, like whether you bought the contracts direct or through resale. My contract and add ons are all through Disney, same resort and use year, so they have the xxxx.000 xxxx.001 type number system.

To members for all practical purposes when dealing with MS and reservations, they are pooled. But behind the scenes, each contract and add on is tracked seperately for usage.

We have 2 contracts at the same resort. One through Disney the other through resale. They have two different use years. For purposes of the 11 month window they are fine since they are at the same home resort. However they are treated as 2 separate contracts with 2 sets of points, due mostly I think to the use year difference. Sometimes it gets quite creative when booking 1 night from contract A, then 3 from contract B, then last two from contract A.

As if keeping track wasn't challenging enough! :rotfl2: So it really depends on the contracts themselves, use years etc.

It can also be handled by borrowing and banking on the separate contracts in different years.
However it's done, it's all worth it :Pinkbounc
Good luck!
