Multi-Room PIN Question

We have 2 rooms booked - my mom + my family for October. I just called and my mom has the free dining PIN associated with her name that would let us switch to POR and get rid of our split stay.

HOWEVER, my mom isn't 100% sure that she going. So her room my end up being cancelled.

Anyone have an experience with this?

I know what the reservation CM told me...but I also know not everything the CM say is actually true.
