The kids started Karate Camp today- they LOVED it and can't wait till tomorrow. Tonight I got to start my class- the kids sat quietly for most of it and when I was done- it was high 5's around and they said over and over- mommy you did awesome!

They said they were so proud of me- I told them that I learned the moves from watching them
No word from the attys or DAMM or ex SIL. Yet.....
I have a job interview tomorrow- maybe thats where God wants me.
I had a patient 1 day last week and then both days this weekend. His son is good looking

A very nice big family, very supportative of each other.

The son and I connected

and it was just nice to go in the room and talk to the whole family. They all seemed fairly interested in me

from the 70 year old aunts to the 18 year old nieces and nephews and everyone in between.

On Sunday night, before I left, the patient (dad) asked me when I would be back to work. I told him but reminded him that he would more than likely be disharged before I returned. He told me what a great nurse I was and asked if my number was listed

(maybe he was asking for his son

) I told him no. He said well thats good- you're a smart woman to protect yourself like that. I even googled myself- I am nowhere- maybe too bad, so this son can't find me

but at least they know where I work! Today was my day off and I stopped by work because my best friend needed to talk

and on the way out we swung by his room, she made an excuse to go in( just for me)

and I followed, the son was there

I played it cool and asked how he (the dad) was doing and spent a few minutes chating with the both of them- mainly talking about dad's plan of care....as I left the son said well it was good to see you "Mulan" and I said yeah, you too-----I melted as I walked away and my best friend and I got to do that girly thing laughing and acting silly down the hall
Will anything ever come of this...probably not, but it sure was fun while it lasted. I hope he finds a way to get in contact with me- the ball is in his court now

On the floor I work on it very rare that you have the same patient over and over after the first few days of admission.
