Mulan - anything and everything

My girls are absolutely in love with Mulan - a love which has blossomed since our last trip to DW. Last year it was all about Cinderella and Ariel.

I booked a Princess Storybook lunch at Akerhus in the hopes that Mulan will be there but I know there are no guarantees. I know sometimes Mulan is out and about in China at Epcot.

So, is there anything else about Mulan and Mushu I should know? I wouldn't want to miss anything.....

We have taken our DD several times and still have never seen them. It sounds like this holiday season does bring out all the good characters though. After seeing all the same characters over and over I don't know what kind of reaction I would even give when I end up seeing her. It could be scary!

I've seen her in China. I only got a picture though. She was leaving. Just so you know, she's kidda hidden. They don't tell you where she is on the map.

If you want to make sure that your daughter sees any character related to Mulan, just ask any Guest Relations CM or merchandise CM with a phone and they can find out for you.

Also, I do remember seeing Shang at studios this past summer, I believe. Now character appearances change frequently, I know I've gotten my picture taken with him there.

Is your daughter going to dress up like Mulan for the lunch?

We were there the last week of September and saw Mulan and Mushu at the hat in MGM (but they were just leaving so we didn't get pictures or autographs. Then a few days later we happened upon them in China -- back by the kidcot station. We got lucky this time as we were the last family! Mulan commented on all of our Crocs -- and told Mushu that they needed to ask the ancestors for some

Oh...and we were at the Disney store this week at our local mall. They have a really cute velvety nightgown with Mulan on it. I am planning to go back to get it for Christmas

We did the Norway breakfast in 2004, and that is where my dd got to meet Mulan. However, like the above poster said, i have heard that she comes and goes in China in Epcot too.. The CM should be able to tell you.

We met Mulan last November in China. We were just checking out the exhibit about the new Hong Kong Disney Park and my parents were in the theater area. I looked over and saw her playing with my DD (had just turned 1). She spent a few minutes talking and holding her before she went to the area she was doing a meet. It was very cute.

Mulan pops up in China in a few spots. Other than the ones already mentioned I saw her at the big gate going into China. Mushu was there too. There seems to be an increased number of characters out and about in Epcot World showcase at the moment, so I hoping there is more of a chance of bumping into Mulan again. I think the new Year of A Million Dreams promotion seems to have Disney trying out lots more characters, which is something I can't wait to see!

We found a Mulan birthday gem stone pin at The World last week. There do not seem to be many Mulan pins, so DD was excited about this. As other posters have mentioned, she appears regularly at the China Pavillion. (BTW - anyone know what sort of renovation they are doing? It looks weird wraped in tarp with the building painted on the fabric!!)

Oh, I can't thank you all enough for your great replies and the beautiful pictures. Just seeing the pictures makes me even more excited -uh, for the girls of course. My girls are going to be SO excited. And, yes, they are definitely dressing up like Mulan for the lunch at Akerhus. Thanks again for all of the great info and pictures!

Just follow the advice above regarding contacting guest relations and asking, or any CM with a phone. Do it early in your trip to give you the best chance of finding her.
