mugs to use at resort?

Did I read correctly that the DVC dining plan now includes a refillable mug for each person? Where are the drink stations at Kidani?

Yep, they raised the prices and gave you a mug. Kidani has a drink station in the store and at the pool bar.

I've gotten the mug on the DVC dining plan before. It's been awhile though. I usually use TIW now. Did they take it away only to give it back?

Mugs were included on the QS plan, now they added them to the TS plan. Every year they change the plans to confuse us but they always raise the prices.

It could be a sign that they are getting closer to rolling out the RFID chip system at the refill stations (currently being tested at some of the value resorts) propertywide. If that's the case, it's probably an incentive to get people purchase the DDP and somewhat appease the folks who have been using the same mug for years who will perceive the RFID tags as Disney "taking away" their "free soda for life" benefit because they purchased a $25 mug 3 years ago.

We stayed at Port Orleans “Dixie Landings” (Riverside) from 1996 thru 2001 when they started with the refillable mug (one of those years). At that time it was promoted to be reused with each returning trip. I think we still have ours packed away in some box with all the others.

I have never had a refillable mug. I only drink water. I talked to MS today and she said," for everyone" That is kids too. We are still deciding what to do. The plan has really went up, but I am wondering how much the food is?
