Mugs at Trader Sams...

I'm planning on DH getting liquored up so I can have some of the Trader Sam mugs, but question is: will they ship them home for us? Or will we need to pack them?

@ErinsMommy Just FYI, I had a heck of a time getting my Nautilus back one time. The box it came it was easily double the size of the Nautilus itself, and I just could not get it in my suitcase along with the rest of my stuff, no matter what I tried. I had to ditch the box and put it in the middle of suitcase padded with clothes. I assumed it wouldn't make it through the flight, but it did.

Thank you - that's good to know because its on DH's wish list. I want the smaller ones, he wants the Nautilus.

When I was there, the Nautilus was $56 I think. Not really a cup you can use again, either. We got the Shrunken Head and the Mai Tai. Much easier to bring home and reuse and the drinks were really good (and I'm not a rum drinker).

But the Nautilus does look quite cool on the shelf in my office, so it does have some use! Plus it's Disney history!

I have no idea what cups your talking about but we packed glass stiens from LTT inside the souvineer popcorn buckets. We wrapped the mugs with a t shirt, put it in the bucket, put the lid on and put that in the center of the suitcase. Brought 6 home that way!! Yes, we eat a lot of popcorn....

Supposedly Trader Sams has these shrunken head, tiki and a nautilus shaped mugs that come with certain alcoholic drinks and in particular the nautilus is pretty big! It would've been easier to ship them home than pack but it appears that's not an option

If you go to your local PO you can get a flat rate box and just pack that in your luggage. Wrap the Nautilus in a shirt or something and ship it in from the gift shop at your resort. The boxes from the PO come flat. Oh, and bring packingbtape! Now i want to go to Trader Sams for a cup!

I believe you have to buy the drink to get the mug, i've also seem some on ebay. For me though i'm sure i wont have to twist DH's arm too hard to get him to buy a drink so I can have the mug. I'm super excited!

I hope you dont mind me asking, but can you please measure the nautilus for me? Trying to determine how big of a box I'll need if I want to ship it from the resort back home. (I'm assuming the nautilus is the biggest, so the tiki and shrunken heads I should have no problem with)

I went to Trader Sam's last week with my sister - we had so much fun! I had been debating the various tiki glasses prior to our arrival. I really wanted the Nautilus, but I had heard about how big the packaging was, so I decided to try something else. I went with the Uh-Oa! which was really fun, and - Chip and Dip bowl! Also pretty big but not as big and the Nautilus. Anyway, that was so delicious that we found ourselves ordering HippopotoMai-Tais afterward. Also delicious! So, I ended up having a lot to pack anyway! but worth it!

I'm pretty sure that you can order the drink without the souvenir glass. The way it's worded on the Disney website, ordering the glass is something you "can" do, but it doesn't sound like you have to do it. On my receipt, the drinks are priced separately from the souvenir glasses, too.

Of the drinks that come with souvenir glasses, you can get without the souvenir glasses. Like the hippopotomaitai. But NOT the Pearl.

Yeah - you can order most of the drinks (even the Nautlius one) in the fancy mugs without actually buying the fancy mug!
