*~* Muggles, Welcome to the Burrow! *~*

 WOW! That is amazing!!!!!!!! Thanks for posting that picture!!

I'm glad we have an actual date for the book, JK Rowling's birthdate. How exciting!!

Before the Dan/Equus topic is gone, I wondered what you all thought of the poster art for that particular production. Myself, I find it brilliant.

D'oh, too late!

Wow. It's definately unusual. I like it though!

I wonder about the significance of 7/21, or is there no significance?

I'm a little disappointed it didn't come out on 7/7, or 7/31, but I'm just thrilled its out this summer. I thought for sure with the hype of OotP being released in theatres just days before they would hold off to release the last book until at least October.

Smokin'........ :faint:

Is anyone else almost dreading OOTP because of what happens to Sirius? I almost don't want to watch it for that reason. :sad1:

It was hard to reread but I finished that one a few weeks ago. I'm rereading Half Blood Prince right now and I'm taking my good old time. Dumbledore was my favorite character so this book is by far the hardest for me. :sad2:

JK Rowling's b'day is 7/21. Isn't Harry's supposed to be that day too?

I'm rereading HBP too and it's hard to get each page down knowing what is coming.

I know! I can't believe it. I think I just got so excited. :confused3 Sorry. Chalk it up to being too excited about the book.

Shelby
No biggie! I double checked just to make sure, I didn't get it wrong in the midst of the excitement. :)

Okay...I got out of the shower a little while ago, turned my laptop on to check the weather and there it was on Yahoo! homepage. The 21st...wow. I felt excited and yet my stomach sank at the same time. I don't want it to be over :( And the first thing that popped in my head was "great, I'm going to be the only person at the midnight release crying!" :rotfl: I hope that doesn't happen, that would be so embarassing

I'm kinda excited that the OOTP movie will be coming out and the book will be following it within a couple weeks.

Have any of you gone to see the movies at midnight the first night it comes out? I'd love to do that but at the same time, I don't want to be tired when watching!

I think I will wait in line though at midnight to get the book for sure!!

Shelby

We won't go to a midnight showing of the movie, but WILL be there for the book release.

I am excited and sad too.
Don't worry about crying, I am sure you will not be the only one.

I called my Mom and asked her to find out what her store is planning. Both of my parents work at Border's, different stores though. My Dad's store is a bit further, so I don't think I want to go there.

    I won't be able to!

We don't get the book releases like you do - no store here is going to be open at midnight just so a few people can get HP7! :rotfl: And while we might get the movie around the same time if it's considered popular enough, it won't be a midnight showing - it will likely be the first Friday that it runs in the U.S.

I really need to find a way to get that book! Otherwise I will have to avoid all media until I do!

I do the midnight showings of the movies...and I drag my DS with me! The midnight showings are wonderful, every person there seems to be SO INTO it-cheering at the end, just a really good "shared experience" of going to the movies everytime we've gone! We did this for POA and GOF. I have told DS that now that he's almost 13, I won't dress up at the next film if it embarrasses him. (He does know I really want to dress up for the next midnight book party, which he attends with me as well. Done these since OOTP.)

We've done both. Gone to the midnight book release and watch the movies the first night they've come out at midnight. The midnight movies are tons of fun because it's usually the hardcore fans that are there and it usually is a blast. There isn't any talking or any other rude behaviour that you usually encounter when going to a 'normal' movie. We've done Midnight movies for the last couple of years for Spiderman 1 & 2, all the LOTR and all of the SW movies. And Harry, of course!

I'll help you there if I can Coco! Would me buying the book and shipping it to you work? You know I wouldn't mind doing that!

My dd is almost 13 and I'm in the same boat! If she won't let me dress up, I'll just do it anyway though! heh heh

I guess I'm the only one who isn't sad. I'm glad its coming to a close. Its been a wonderful 10 years, but its time to know the ending. :goodvibes
