Mug refilling stations within a resort

Are the refilling spots located at the restaurants and CS places within a resort? Or are there special "refilling only" spots at any given resort? Either way, do you find that the total # of spots you can get a refill is the same all year around, or do resorts increase or decrease the # of spots you can refill at certain times of the year? Also, can you please give me an idea of how many refilling spots there are within, say, CBR (or any other resort you are familiar with)?

Thanks.

When I have been down to Disney '98, '01 & '06. The only place we were able to fill the mugs we bought were at the resorts. I don't believe there are any sharing stations for these mugs. I don't think this has changed either since my last trip. But, I'm sure you will find more in formation on the Disboards planning section or maybe dining. See the links above. My daughter & I plan to buy the mugs on our next trip. I use mine all the time, it is a great remembrance. My husband on the other hand still has his mugs & isn't planning on buying one at this time.

The mug stations are located at the ffod courts in the resort. They are not special stations, they are just the regular drink stations in the food courts. POP has 3 or 4 stations set up, but they are all right next to each other. Sometimes at off eating times, they will close a station for cleaning.

Yep they are the same stations if you have a mug or just purchaced 1 drink. The stations each have multipule soda choices, coffee choices, hot coco, POP has frozen coke, lemonaid, and they have a place there to wash the mugs.

some resorts do not have food courts and have more limited spots to fill your mugs. Example: BW - there is no self serve fill your mugs here, you can go to the spoodles window, the bakery and i think a couple more spots. The BC has added a self serve in their marketplace but the yc has no self serve (you can walk over to the BC)

So it does depends on where you stay what your options are :)

Also at YC/SAB Hurricane Hannah's will fill it up for you. For coffee and tea in the AM you can go to the lobby bar at the YC for self serve coffee

That makes me think. I think it would be fabulous if they had drink refill places in more places than the food courts at the bigger resorts but am guessing it would difficult to stop folks from using their own mugs instead of the resort mugs.

Maybe a bar code of some sort? It is a long walk to the food court from some places and make the mugs a worse deal. Maybe when they get those magic wristbands we could just scan them and get our drinks in the resort AND in the parks.

Hey, dream big!!!:confused3

It depends on how you interpret the wording that Disney has on the refill mugs.
