My DH loves eating these when we visit Family in New Orleans
but ate one at POFQ and was nothing like the real thing.
Same goes for the Beignets at POFQ--taste nothing like the real thing
from Cafe' Du Monde. I'm just glad we can visit New Orleans once
a year so we can get our fix.
And we're very glad you can come visit our city once a year!![]()
Thanks, Grew up south of Baton Rouge. Mama and my Brother still
live in Gonzales. We have friends in Meterie. Love the food.
We live in Rocky Mountain now and really enjoy it, very pretty
area but they just don't have anything good to eat.![]()
I just saw a show on the Travel Channel about an incredible looking buffet at the Broadmoor Resort, looked fabulous!
The Broadmoor in located in Colorado Springs which is over 1.5 hours away.
I just miss good seafood--didn't get my crawfish this year.
We had a decent muffaleta at Port Orleans Riverside food court. My dh was trained by a New Orleans chef and said it was a good sandwich.
Enjoy your trip...![]()
To the poster from Colorado... learn to love the local spots. There are some great Italian, steak, burger, brewpubs, Mexican and even Vietnamese/Thai. Just too far away from a coast to have great seafood.![]()
