Does anyone have a picture of this? I would settle for a great description. Thanks!

I can't speak for a Muffaletta specific to Disney, but a traditional Muffaletta from New Orleans is a sandwich on a big round Italian bread with salami, mortadella (Italian bologna), ham, provolone cheese and olive salad (olives chopped with celery and carrots. Oh it is soooo gooood!

Sandwiches don't appeal to me but the Central Grocery Muffuletta-Umm,Umm,good!

My DH loves eating these when we visit Family in New Orleans
but ate one at POFQ and was nothing like the real thing.
Same goes for the Beignets at POFQ--taste nothing like the real thing
from Cafe' Du Monde. I'm just glad we can visit New Orleans once
a year so we can get our fix.

Thanks, Grew up south of Baton Rouge. Mama and my Brother still
live in Gonzales. We have friends in Meterie. Love the food.
We live in Rocky Mountain now and really enjoy it, very pretty
area but they just don't have anything good to eat.:sad2:

I just saw a show on the Travel Channel about an incredible looking buffet at the Broadmoor Resort, looked fabulous!

The Broadmoor in located in Colorado Springs which is over 1.5 hours away.
I just miss good seafood--didn't get my crawfish this year.

We're boiling shrimp tonight, wish I could send ya some.;)

Me TOO!!!
Now ya got me hungry.;)

Shrimp does sound good...might have to take some out the freezer for tomorrow.

We had a decent muffaleta at Port Orleans Riverside food court. My dh was trained by a New Orleans chef and said it was a good sandwich.

Enjoy your trip...:goodvibes

To the poster from Colorado... learn to love the local spots. There are some great Italian, steak, burger, brewpubs, Mexican and even Vietnamese/Thai. Just too far away from a coast to have great seafood. ;)

I've lived in Colorado 16years and have had decent food not much into
Mexican (there a dime a dozen up here--kind of get tired of same-old same-old) Don't care for Asain,
so I have learned how to cook better. I can say they there is very good
Italian food up here.
We mostly eat at home. It's much cheaper also.
I'm thankful that we have such a beautiful location,
My DS goes to one of the Top 50 schools in Golden,
so I can't complain.

OP- great sandwich!

This thread has got me really jazzed [no pun intended] for our Trip in Dec, as we are taking the train into New Orleans and then driving to WDW. We will spend 2 nights in New Orleans on the way back and am now inspired to start planning those days....I do believe a trip to the Central Grocer and a stop at the Cafe du Monde are in order :goodvibes I know we will also take tea at the hotel [the Windsor Court] and generally try to soak up all the New Orleans we can before we get back on the train to come home.

Beckwhy, which sandwich is this? It looks like the turkey and harvati on cheese foccacia at sunshine seasons to me? Does WDW make a turkey Muffuletta?

I'm drooling. I can't find a good muffuletta in NJ. A friend was just in NOLO, and I had her bring me back some chickory coffee. I fondly remember all the beignets, muffuletta and shrimp po boys I ate when I was in town for a convention (pre-Katrina) and I hope to make it back.
