The Charles Manson documentary is on right now.. Creepy, scary guy!

Next up after that is "Children For Sale"..:sad2: Not sure if it's in the U.S. or somewhere else.. I saw a banner at the bottom of the screen..

I read "Helter Skelter" up here at the lake after the book first came out.. I can honestly say that I had nightmares for several nights - and for the first time ever, was very, very scared to be here alone.. Eventually I got over it though - and will never re-read that book here!! :scared1:

Some books definitely shouldn't be read when you're alone and in a remote area!:scared1: I remember when Stephen King's "Salem's Lot" came out. I read it when I was living in an old house in Maine (not far from the location in the book). The house had a really dark, creepy, dirt floor basement. The basement also had several smaller rooms with old, wooden doors on them.

I was scared silly to go down in the basement BEFORE I read Salem's Lot. After reading the book, it was totally out of the question.

Yep.. And if you're at the beach, don't sit there reading "Jaws".. Did that too..
Even though I was at the lake, I had seen the movie and that music that played every time he was about to strike kept running through my head.. I didn't go in the water that day..:rotfl:

Oh - and don't even get me started about Alfred Hitchkocks "The Birds".. We have HUGE black crows up here that could pick me up and carry me away.. I see or hear more than 2 at a time and I'm making a mad dash for the door to get inside..:rotfl:

CDoobee- Welcome to the Gramma club! Xavier is precious!!:)

C.Ann- Umm...the name of your lake isn't "Crystal", is it?:scared1: Regardless, do NOT watch Friday the 13th while you're there!

Salem's Lot is the scariest book ever written!! I freaked myself out in college reading it alone one night! :scared1:
