MSEP will end September 1st

So thankful we got to finally make our trip this summer to see it again. My wife loves MSEP and DD12 really loved it when we went this time. She was too young to remember seeing it in 2015 at WDW. She got really into Elliott and made a point on subsequent nightly visits to catch his portion of the parade and try to wave at him and Pete. Kept the magic of childhood going for just a little bit longer before we enter teendom.

I find it strange that it's not even going through Labor Day weekend. Ending on a Thursday? Huh....

Edit: I didn't realize Halloween starts before Labor Day, so I guess it makes sense.

Darn I was really hoping it would still be there when I arrive on September 8th. I loved the parade. I first saw it in Disney World in 1988 I think. Oh well that's life.

I am planning to be at Disneyland on 9/2 and was ready hoping to see MSEP with my twin 3 year olds as I think they would love it!

We booked the Plaza Inn dining package 9/2 hoping to have reserved seating for the show. Now that MSEP isn’t happening 9/2, what would this package be for? A new parade?

I am surprised it is ending before Labor Day. It is the unofficial end of summer. The Halloween season at Disneyland starts on Sept. 2. Halloween Before Labor Day? Disneyland has been creeping the start of its Halloween season earlier and earlier. They should have let the parade run through Labor Day.

Disneyland is not as bad as Disney World. The Halloween events start August 12th. It use to start in October then it creeped into September and then August. It's ridiculous

Maybe if they could send MSEP back over to WDW, then run PTN in DL - that would be great!

Also, I know Magic Happens wasn't that popular, but it ran for such a short time - I never even got to see it!

I don't think Magic Happens was unpopular.

At any rate, Hong Kong isn't currently using Paint the Night and they now have both a daytime parade and a nighttime spectacular so they could send all the costumes back to Disneyland. I think were was some concern that some of the Paint the Night costumes were too heavy for performers though and the US has OSHA while Hong Kong has less stringent regulations on worker safety.

I’d be ecstatic to find out MSEP is coming to MK for Oct 1st 50th Anni v2 this year. Back in 2019 when everybody was speculating about the 50th celebration, this was one of my biggest Wishes! Unlikely? Maybe, but we can still dream it.

Well, it was unpopular on the DIS anyway.... 😛

That is ridiculous!!! Halloween event in August!

Oh man. My 16yo LOVED the parade and really wanted to see it again. I'm surprised it isn't running longer. I'm assuming it will be back someday, but who knows when....?
