MSEP Plaza Inn Dining Package Revie 5/1

Hopefully it's okay to post a separate thread as this question came up in several spots.

Yeah I was going tomorrow originally. But jetlag woke me at 4 am and surprisingly I managed to score both a park and dining package reservation. So surprise: here I am.

Going into Plaza you need to check in at the left side of the stairs. A CM takes you to a register. 40 Dollars for adults, Magic Key discounts apply. Your souvenir is a lanyard with credentials like last time.

They are definitely short staffed. Took a long time to check in and trash on lots of tables. Actually sitting outside now.

There is a dedicated serving station for dining packages only.

Which brings us to the next post...

Yes, that is the mass amount of 4 carots on this plate

Chicken is the standard Plaza fare. Can't go wrong with that.

Biscuit/cornbread was standard, same for salad. Bacon was crunchy.

Mac and Cheese may as well have been boxed, neither cheesy nor anything special.



Beats me why they call it 'berry' cheesecake. There's the tiniest spot of red under the whipped cream. Average cheesecake.

Overall verdict: nowhere as bad as the food from the package last time they did.

I did ask about substtutes and was told not possible. They would have swapped the salad for extra Mac and Cheese, that's it. I strongly suspect it is at the CM's discretion.

Check In starts 8 pm. I'll report back in a little before that.

The area is across from the train station as suspected.

Heads up they opened it up early last night! We hopped back into DL at 7:30 and saw people were already in the reserved area.

They opened early on 4/29 too. We got there at 7:45 and were second row. Then some folks came with scooters and tried to run us over and push us out of our spots. (they were allowed to stay on their scooters, which I understand but there was no accounting for how much space scooters take up!) We were glad we got there early because there wouldn't have been a place to stand if we hadn't.

The reserved area is across from the train station, stretching from popcorn cart to popcorn cart.

There is another reserved area with benches across from Mad Hatter. Seems to be VIP.

Front row almost full at 7.15 pm.
