I have a friend who is going to Disney World for the first time at the end of March. She has MS and is worried about long line waits. Can she bring a note from her doctor so she doesn't have to wait too long? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks. :cool1:

There is no real way to skip any lines... Disney's policy on stamina or mobility concerns is to rent a wc or ECV. I suggest she look into that. There is no way to shorten distance walked, and lines for rides are only one small part of hte trip.

I am sure others will come along with more info.

Hi and :welcome: to disABILITIES!

The Guest Assistance Card specifically states on it that it is not intended to shorten wait times. The official (and recommended) accommodation for people with mobility and/or stamina problems is that they rent a wheelchair or ECV.

A doctor's note will not help at all. The people in Guest Relations will not even want to read it.

If you click on where it says "disABILTIES" at the top of this page it will take you to the Index. One of the top items is the "disABILTIES FAQ" which will gives lots of useful information. Post #6 discusses the GAC and Posty #2 talks about mobility/stamina.

The only time a GAC is coded to allow Front Of The Line access is where it is for a child on a WISH Trip, which has outside confirmation that the child is either terminal or medically fragile.

Or, if you want an easier route to the FAQs, click on the link in my signature.
