MS Confirming Waitlists today (Saturday)

WOW....I was shocked to get a call for Members Service. She told me they are so swamped they came in today just to confirm waitlists. I bet I have some of you not leaving the house now!

(I just got Presidents Week).

Also, a reminder they are closed Monday!

I might have contributed to that Pres. Wk waitlist movement. I trimmed a couple days off 2 reservations a few days ago and I might end up having to cancel the whole thing (hope not!). I hope Tues is still with my cancelation window I hadn't realized that Mon would be off. I've got to go and count to 31 now!

I made a couple of reservations yesterday, and yes, they are swamped. It's everyone making those 11-month December reservations.

I called at about 4:20 pm since I was not trying for December and hoped the call volume had decreased by then. Not bad, my wait time was only about 10-minutes.

Just so everyone knows, it's actually 31 days or less and is counted day by day, exactly as you're doing. Points for reservations cancelled at 30 days or less go into the Holding Account. The 30 day mark is not the same date on the previous month but is the actual number of days. So for example, if someone had a March 15th check-in and needed to cancel, the 30 day mark is not Feb 15th, but is Feb 13th, so they would need to cancel NLT Feb 12th to keep points from going into the Holding account. And in this specific example, since the 12th is a Sunday, a member would have to cancel that specific reservation NLT Friday, Feb 10th.

I got Pres week through a waitlist also this week. I got the feeling from the person I spoke with that maybe some new inventory became available and they were able to fill a lot of *orders* on the waitlist at SSR.

I wish I had been that lucky---we still need 1 night at SSR and wonder if it is harder to get just 1 night than a whole amount of time. Does anyone know how that works--do they try to find someone looking for exactly what was cancelled or on a night by night basis.

our waitlist is on auto-confirm and the website says their are doing some sort of "scheduled system activities" or some such so i now i'm all excited and can't find out if we got it or not

My wait list came through but no one called me. I just checked the Member board and I saw that my VWL ressie is now at the BCV for our trip in June. I am so excited. This is the first time the waitlist has worked for me....
