Something must be up, lets hope your source is right.

I was wondering what was up....
Making my daily phone call to see if
I'm in system yet:rolleyes:

I've seen 2 bits of speculation...

1) They closed because there was a meeting to discuss the announcement of the GC DVC.

2) They closed because they were being given the "final" details for AKV's general public "go live" on Monday.

Maybe it was both??

Talked to my guide this morning - he said they were closed because of reason #2 above and also because of the price increase on Monday and new incentives. He did hint that the reason #1 above should be coming fairly soon.

This makes sense to me. Why take the spotlight off of AKV when they are ready to make it avaliable to the general public. I bet they wait at least a few weeks before they announce GCV. Let sales fly at AKV, and then when the hoopla dies down announce a California DVC. This makes the most financial sense.

He didn't "leak" what the incentives were going to be, did he? And if they were avialable to the general public or just existing DVC members?

My wife and I are chomping at the bit to begin the buy in process on Monday. :)

I'm in the same boat, and just spoke to my guide. The incentive is $8pp or developers points, the same as those availble to existing DVC members. The price goes up to $104 pp, 160 points min.

NICE...our guide won't really talk about it until "the day". Says they're not allowed.

Now we just need to find out if some 2007 points will be available to the general public, or only 2008 points.

Thanks for the info.

Member Services closes three or four times a year for "special events". They usually end up being team building exercises or just town square meetings to bring everyone up to speed.

I happened to call my guide yesterday about something and asked about the special event. It was just their regular meeting.

No big DVC announcments are forthcoming.

Funny, I talked to MS about 11:30 that day?????

Do you know for sure they were closed? I don't think I am going crazy.
