MS can't add my Jan 2011 DDP yet-how will this affect my ADRs

I was advised by MS that the 2011 DDP prices aren't out yet so DVC can't add it to my ressie yet. My 180 window opens next week and I plan on booking CRT. I was told by a rep at Disney Dining that I would have to pay for the ADR in full at 180 days and then change it to DDP when the prices come out.

BUT.... to do this they must make a new ADR (if available-maybe not) then cancel my old one. Has anyone had experience with this?

Also, will I have to go through the same process for restaurants that don't require a credit card (new ADR to change to DDP)?

Just prepay and when you get to the restaurant tell them you are using DDP credits and they will refund the prepayment on your credit card.

Other than that type of instance, where you prepay for a meal, there is no reason to change anything about your ADRs when you add the DDP (i.e., you don't need to connect your DDP or even your resort reservation to your ADRs - except to get the +10 booking window for on-site guests). And I would not mess around with the CRT reservation because you might not get another one, I would just do what I stated above.

Really? I figured once they had payment beyond the cancellation date you were locked in. $$

Last year we booked the CRT before we re-booked our trip with the free dining.
When I called Disney Dining they told me to just let our waiter know when we got to CRT of the change. Which we did and we had no problems we were given the choice of having the credit card refunded or a Disney gift card. I took the gift card since I had already paid off my credit card.

I would just pay for CRT OOP and use the credits somewhere else if I had any questions...but it sounds like the "telling the waiter when you get there plan" will work great.

We did this last week, I had booked CRT before I decided to do DxDP, once we were seated I told the waitress we wanted to use dining credits instead, and they refunded the money to my CC within a week. No problems!

I am only doing 1 table credit places and was able to book 3 ADR's this week. Tried to get into Ohana but no luck settle on Kona.
