MS annoying hours

Am I the only person totally frustrated with MS operating hours? Can't call during day (hello people work), but they close so darn early. Really?? Can they not staff until 7pm CT? I can call good old Disney reservations now, or Delta, or Hilton... But I can't get a hold of anyone at MS. Seems so 1989...

Grrrr....

Disney Reservation, Delta and Hilton are profit driven, no reservation no profit.

DVC Member Services, on the other hand, is funded through dues. Now, they could pull some CM to start/ end later in the day...but it would also require additional expense for thing like power, A/C and a few MS Supervisors. Not a great expense, but it would have some minor impact on dues. With an online system in the works to be phased n to full operation over the next few months, why add that additional CM expense now?
 
Might not help much, but remember that MS is open 7 days per week, 9 am - 5:30 pm Eastern.

Some members call them on their breaks or lunch period.

Also, members may contact them via email.
 
They used to be open later on Thursday night, but not on the weekends. (or maybe just four hours on Sat). I like seven days a week better.
 

We are ok with the hours as others pointed out our dues pay for MS ...they are open 7 days a week now ....we usually call on our lunch break.....should be interesting to see what online booking is all about
 
Think that's bad... Try living in Hawaii... I have to call between 3am-11:30am to book a reservation sometimes... Now that they are selling DVC in Japan, do they make these people to call between 11pm and 8am to book a reservation or do they have a separate number?
 
If I remember correctly, they used to close at 5 and weren't open on Sundays.:scared1::scared1::scared1:

Can't make a call from work at all? I make them on my breaks.
 
Not everyone works M-F, 9-5.
Hours are fine with me, but just goes to show that you can't please everyone.
 
It has improved since we joined. It used to be that they were only open M-F. I agree that more hours would be more convenient for us, but it has not been a deal-breaker for us.
 
It will come online at the same time as MS opens.

I also heard the online option will only be available during the hours that MS is open. The only way they can provide support to those who have issues as well as to not to give an unfair advantage against those w/o internet, those who can't stay up till 12:01am or those who are not tech savvy...

Personally, i haven't had an issue with their operating hours.
 
I think it is just a case of adjusting to their times. Here in the UK this mainly means 2pm till 10.30 pm which is fine except when you need to ring at 9am to bag a reservation at 11 or 7 months.

Also rather confusing when the clocks change as although both the UK and US change in the same direction we don't do it the same weekend which I found out when making a reservation at 11 months!
