-We recently switched back to cable, so that means we're seeing local commercials again. I was watching Hannity & Colmes when this charming little ad came on. There was Mrs. Claus sitting in front of the fire. The room was decorated and cozy with a lighted tree and a soft Holiday glow to it. Mrs. Claus is having a little pity party about being left alone so much, due to Santa's busy holiday schedule. Santa is standing there watching her, feeling her pain. He then gives her a special little gift with a knowing look on his face. She opens it up. Santa remarks that it's "Mrs. Claus' Little Helper" to get her through the lonely nights. My jaw started dropping! She holds up her gift and it certainly was a "Little Helper".....well not that little. It had a red stripe just like a candy cane, too! My jaw really hit the floor then, and Mrs. Claus was grinning from ear to ear.

The commercial was for a local chain of adult stores. Being new to cable, I wasn't familiar with them or their ads. I was just shocked. The opening seemed so benign. I was completely fooled and laughed about it later. I'm not too crazy about Santa being used that way, but I think he was originally invented to sell cigarettes.

I thought it was funny....after ten minutes when I pulled my jaw from the floor.....:teeth:

YOWZA!!! They should play that back-to-back with those wild Herbal Essence Shampoo commercials...:scared: :scared: :scared:

Now thats my kind of humor...::yes::
