Welcome to my second pre-trip report! Big changes have happened to the Potts clan since the last trip (which you can read here, if you want). Lets start with introductions!

Me My names Katie. Im a 30-something high school English teacher from Upstate New York. I grew up in the Hudson Valley and moved to the Southern Tier ten years ago for my job. Ive been a lifelong Disney freak and I started converting my husband as soon as he moved to New York.

My husband Hes Kellan. Hes 28 and originally from Tennessee. The Disney freak conversion started when he moved to New York, but it was fully completed during our Disneymoon in May 2011. The first thing he said when we got home was when can we go back? Since my last trip report, hes graduated from Binghamton University Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors in English and is now studying law at Albany Law School. He lives there (two hours away) and commutes home on the weekends.

And the biggest change of all (drum roll please): Our son Sawyer! Hes 13 months old and just adorable. Hes just started walking, but hes going to be flying before we know it. He loves to babble, chase after the cats and knock over block towers. Hes not going on this trip with us, but I cant wait for when we do take him to Disney for the first time!
Our plans:
We had booked a short babymoon for Presidents Day weekend 2013, as a nice final getaway before we had Sawyer, but he had other plans. My doctor put me on bed rest for the last three months (turned out to be only two) of my pregnancy, so Disney (and anywhere else) was absolutely out of the question.
Kellan living in Albany and only being home on the weekend is rough on us, especially with Sawyer being so little. Also, Kellan is going to be living in Washington, D.C., this summer because he has a summer internship with the Department of Justice. Because of this, I really wanted to do something, just the two of us, as a second honeymoon, before he left. I have a four day weekend for Memorial Day so that seemed like the perfect time. Wed been really longing to go back to Disney, and even though were planning a longer trip with my parents for Kellans law school graduation in two years, when the Orbitz deal came up, I had to check it out.
The deal I found on Orbitz included hotel, airfare and park passes for about $2500. This is a great deal for us, since airfare alone can come close to $2000 (we live way away from any major airports). It also included three day park hoppers that come with two free days. That means were getting five day park hoppers for the price of a three day one! The only thing we wouldn't be able to do is get the dining plan, which is disappointing since we love to eat. Lol. This just means well be doing more counter service and snacking on this trip, which is okay by me. I love Disney snacks!

Were going to be staying at Port Orleans Riverside, in a Royal Room. This is awesome because I LOVE princesses! I stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter, back when it was two separate resorts and we liked it a lot. If they hadnt built Coronado Springs, we probably would have stayed here more. I thought my husband would like the theming of Riverside, since hes from the South. Im requested and am hoping for one of the buildings that is convenient to the main building.
Were flying US Airways (yuck) out of Binghamton and leaving at 7:05 am. The only reason I dont mind flying US is because the airport is only twenty minutes from our house. We have a two hour layover in Philadelphia and we get into MCO at 12:41 pm. We plan to use the Magical Express to get back and forth to WDW.
Coming home, our flight doesnt leave MCO until 4:55 pm, which means our ME departure time will probably be around 2 pm, so well have lots of time in the parks that morning.
